We had a great stay at La Lanterne. Jo is very friendly and accommodating and we had everything we needed, including use of the kitchen to prepare meals. It's very clean and while not fancy, it's charming with Jo's personal touch. Located right off the city bike paths and near the metro - it's also a very convenient place to... More

I really enjoyed my time at La lanterne!! It fell so relaxed and nice. The kitchen has a lot of light and space and you prepare you breakfast as you do at home. We didn't have any problems sharing although it is always uncomfortable to share the bathroom but we knew it. The best is the neighborhood, 2 blocks away... More

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at La Lanterne. Great price, great neighborhood, and conveniently located near the metro. It was also very nice that there was always food available in the kitchen. Joe was also very helpful with providing suggestions for things to do. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because our room was in the basement and room... More

We had an amazing time, so comfortable, felt like home (a home filled with fascinating people). More like staying with old friends than staying at a typical bed and breakfast. Prices very reasonable, the owner was lovely. Highly recommended!

A very peaceful b&b very well located in "Le plateau" , very nice area of montréal surrounded by the Laurier parc and a lot of very nice places to have a drink and eat. Easy access to the main metro line to visit the old center of montreal and dowtown. Jo, the host is always available and gave us some... More

We travelled to Montreal from the UK with young kids. We were looking for somewhere on the Plateau, that was laid back and flexible enough for a family stay. Jo's place was exactly that. He is a fantastic host, attentive and knowledgeable about the city and constantly topping up the breakfast cupboard with fantastic breads and bagels! The space is... More

We had a great experience here. Jo (the owner) transformed the apartment into a classy and affordable place to stay. The rooms are inexpensive and tasteful. There is a well-stocked kitchen and a well-decorated living room (with a record player). We visited as three couples and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The location is ideal because it is one block... More
