I opened up this page to write a good review about this hotel. After seeing Management responses to the negative reviews, I'm turned off. Afterall, Trip Advisor is about travellers sharing their personal experiences and opinions in a non-biased setting. That being said, I'll move on with my actual review (and hope that Management does not respond as I write... More

Well, as I am a Tourism/Commercial Realtor in Ontario, have a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration, have owned a very successful Resort myself, a chef...I like to travel around, be inspired with travel and tourism in Canada. 1st stop on the long weekend tour-Ottawa, skating the Rideau. Overall experience..excellence in tourism. 2cnd stop, Old Montreal. Absolutely phenomenal charm, character,... More

Hotel was ok but you cant expect the world from 2 stars. Rooms are a little small and if the hotel is full don't expect a hot shower whenever you would like. it needs to be timed so the hot water has time to recover. Location wise it is great but that is the best thing it has going for... More

Good thing this hotel is cheap and in a good location, because it really isn't very nice. You will NEVER sleep through the night because of the noise! The stairs are creaky and steep so there is such a loud noise of people walking up and down them ALL NIGHT LONG. Plus you can hear the noise of other rooms... More

At Hotel Champ de Mars we take customers’ satisfaction very seriously and we do everything in our power to make our guests’ stay a pleasant one; however, there are things which fall out of our limits and powers. You stayed with us over the New Year eve when almost all guests want to party and stay awake all night. Our... More

We stayed at Champ-de-mars hotel for 1 night. It is nearby the subway station and a 10-minute walk from St-Denis street, where the bars and restaurants are. The hotel is located in a quiet area. The hotel itself is average and outdated, but it was clean. We had the basic room, the bed was small but comfortable. The staff was... More

My boyfriend and I chose this hotel to stay 1 night in Montreal while going to the 50th Vanier Cup. Main reason why we chose it was because it was super cheap!! We did not know what to expect when we arrived but seeing as though it was a very old building and a very cheap deal we didn't expect... More

Excellent place! Historical, nostalgic, quaint, warm & inviting, family run hotel in Old Montreal on a quiet corner. The hotel was clean, no bugs & the room adorable. The staff, extremely personable & friendly. Dinner was excellent - even accommodated dietary needs! The price was extremely affordable with no pretense. It was within walking distance of everything - the waterfront,... More

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay before we boarded the ms Maasdam for a Canada/New England cruise. Main reason for choosing this hotel was the economical room rate and the fact that the Grayline bus would pick us up at the hotel for a city tour of Montreal in the AM. The hotel is about 250 years old... More

We booked this last minute while on a trip. We did not know what to expect--this was more than what we could have hoped for! A beautiful historic hotel in the perfect and quiet location of Old Montréal. Walking distance to everything and just wonderful ambiance as soon as you walk in. Parking is down the block, so first check... More

The worst experience I've ever had in my life. Dirty rooms, weird and rude staff.. if I could get my money back I would have gone and slept on the streets, would have been much better. I made a mistake and paid before I see the room and when I saw that hole they called room, they weren't gonna pay... More
