I was fortunate to stay in Montreal at this historic beaux-arts hotel for 4 nights this January 2015. My charming 3rd floor room with stylish ensuite was recently renovated. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable. The owners and hotel employees were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and located not too far from the city centre. The... My wife and I stayed in this hotel in January 2014. The main feature of this hotel is its nice and old building. It was a conformable stay for us and we liked it. I mean for the price you're paying it's a considerable option, specially if you like architecture or you want to get a unique taste of old... More

The room is absolutely horrendous!Their is a little chandelier on the wall and only one bulb out of 2 works! Their is a lamp on each side of the bed that does not match , 2 curtains to make one different color each! Was promised a room with jacuzzi and queen size bed,got no jacuzzi or queen size bed! The... This place has to be one of the worse hell holes I ever booked. They will lie to you over the phone to have you book a room. Hotel is cold, rooms are cold rooms are very smal....hotel has no freaking heating. Room decor is very poor... Bed is terrible. DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed here in winter and found the accommodation to be comfortable clean and basic. The hotel has an interesting vibe, may have been a former postal station or bank at some point. It is old and could do with updating but it would disrupt it's odd charm. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfast room was in the... More

Stayed over Halloween weekend with my husband. Cute and charming and we enjoyed our stay. The hallways and rooms almost make you feel like its a hostel but it really isn't. Think hostel mixed in with a bed and breakfast. Certainly not your run-of-the-mill cookie cutter hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in somewhat of a... More

My friends and I arrived late and well past the check-in time of 11pm. The staff were very accommodating and really super friendly. The room was simple with two double beds, plenty of storage, a window that opened, and a decent sized bathroom. The laminate flooring was somewhat creaky, but it's better than a carpet. The continental breakfast was very... More

Stayed here on a whim when traveling thru Ottawa. Almost couldn't find the place because it was dark and didn't see a lit sign. We felt as though we were back in Paris France actually! Or was it a convent or monestary? Overall, the place was clean, very old, nice staff with helpful attitudes, huge rooms with 18+ foot high... More

We booked this last minute , the actual location of the place isn't great but you are only a mile from Old Port and Old Montreal. There is a bus stop into town right opposite and the owner offered to show us maps etc. They called a cab for us when we asked them to and were generally very helpful. The... More
