Upon arriving for our stay I noticed a strong fragrance of air freshener. As a result of allergies to mold and fragrance we were unable to stay in our prereserved room. Upon discussion with our host explaining our predicament, that we would be unable to stay because of strong smell affecting our breathing, they absolutely refused to give a refund.... More

Stayed over Halloween weekend with my husband. Cute and charming and we enjoyed our stay. The hallways and rooms almost make you feel like its a hostel but it really isn't. Think hostel mixed in with a bed and breakfast. Certainly not your run-of-the-mill cookie cutter hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in somewhat of a... More

My friends and I arrived late and well past the check-in time of 11pm. The staff were very accommodating and really super friendly. The room was simple with two double beds, plenty of storage, a window that opened, and a decent sized bathroom. The laminate flooring was somewhat creaky, but it's better than a carpet. The continental breakfast was very... More

Stayed here on a whim when traveling thru Ottawa. Almost couldn't find the place because it was dark and didn't see a lit sign. We felt as though we were back in Paris France actually! Or was it a convent or monestary? Overall, the place was clean, very old, nice staff with helpful attitudes, huge rooms with 18+ foot high... More

We booked this last minute , the actual location of the place isn't great but you are only a mile from Old Port and Old Montreal. There is a bus stop into town right opposite and the owner offered to show us maps etc. They called a cab for us when we asked them to and were generally very helpful. The... More

This hotel was just a two star as hotels go but there were so many pluses like free parking, free fast wifi, and right next to the bike trail that I felt compelled to give it three stars. The woman who checked us in was very knowledgeable and almost overly helpful ( a mother hen type). Our room was clean... More

My wife and I have been coming here for several years. We liked many things about it when we first came here. The owner and greeter had been here for many years and were very helpful, friendly and catered to our needs. My wife and I chose this place as we wanted to visit Montreal by bicycle. We would ride... The owners of this hotel have renovated many of their rooms. They are even more comfortable than before. They even have a room with a Jacuzzi. Awesome. Great value for the money. Free continental breakfast. Free Wi-fi and free parking. Hard to find in Montreal. Great scenic views of the Firework competitions from the exterior decks. They also give great... More

OK, we realized before our stay this was not a five-star B&B. Consulted Trip Advisor and other sites for reviews. Pretty much everything those review pointed out as negatives are ABSOLTUELY true. Really rotten parking (but it's free...), really rotten neighborhood (working girls and other questionable individuals strolling at night), lots of loud traffic, not close to any place for... More

Definitely out of the way of noise and crowds. If you want to avoid the loud downtown bars and music pumping this is a great place to stay. Hotel is in a great building that use to be an old post office. Has amazing high ceilings and is super quiet. Breakfast is served in the basement and is plentiful with... More
