Petra & Daniel are fantastic hosts providing everything we want, charming room with a big bathroom and Jacuzzi, detailed introduction to the city, extraordinary home-made breakfast (strawberry crepes, buckwheat pancakes and sausage). Locate in residential area instead of the busy city center, but frequent public transportation are nearby to take us to everywhere in the city. There are also many... More

Beautifully decorated, comfortable home with the most genial hosts. Petra mapped out our destinations for us and both she and Daniel were as helpful as can be. Daniel made the most delicious breakfasts (my husband thought they were the best meals we had in Montreal!) and I still miss his café crème--impossible to get such a good one here at... More

Petra and Daniel are extremely helpful. Even before our trip, they recommended a great bakery for us to get a cake for our friend's birthday. We got there a lot later than we thought (due to the crazy Montreal Friday traffic + "constructions" got us lost a few times), we almost got them late for their other commitment. However they... In July, my husband and I spent 4 nights at A La Carte B&B. The location is peaceful, the neighborhood restaurants are good, and the transportation into downtown Montreal or other sites is convenient. The most wonderful part of our stay was the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts - Daniel and Petra. We could not have found a... More

I stayed at the apartment with 3 friends at the end of July for 2 nights. I love Montreal and it was my first stay in B&B instead of hotel. I wasn't disappointed. The place is great with the highest standards of comfort and hospitality. The apartment was spacious, tastefully and originally decorated with the terrace and fully equipped kitchen.... More

My brother, mother and I stayed in the apartment and were thrilled with the accommodations. Petra sat down with us and went over the maps, the bus and subway routes, and recommended some great sightseeing and restaurants. She and Daniel were amazing hosts, even leaving us some delicious treats to help us celebrate my brother's birthday. The location was ideal.... More

The hosts and their puppy are adorably kind, our room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. A place where you can repose. The breakfast consisted of crepes with ham and cheese (nice surprise) plus fresh juice, coffee or tea and fruit. The room and washroom were clean with a cozy feel. Thank you again.

My cousin and I just got back from Montreal, and we had an amazing time while staying at A la Carte. Daniel, Petra and heart-melting Monsieur Petite (family dog) made our 5 days truly memorable. We felt like we were staying with close family friends with Daniel and Petra's generous, thoughtful hospitality. This was our first time booking b&b so... More

Great location for visiting Biodome, etc. Handy to wonderful restaurants and bakeries. Delightful, friendly hosts in a charming home. Special thanks to "M. Petit" the miniature poodle for making us feel welcome with our little dog Lenny.

Location, check. Clean, check. Comfortable, check. Outstanding B&B proprietors, check. Quiet, check A great city B&B. The reviews are all true. This is the place you want to be. We stayed in the apartment (no breakfast) which was great and very fairly priced for 2 couples. Petra spent an hour with us which was a great help for us to... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
