When looking for a place to stay during the Women's World Cup in Montreal, all we really wanted was to stay close to the Olympic Stadium. We got so much more than just a place to stay at A La Carte Bed and Breakfast! Daniel and Petra, the hosts, truly make A La Carte a one-of-kind experience. Petra's knowledge of... More

My wife and I just returned from a weekend in Montreal. We have stayed at multiple bed and breakfast in multiple states, but this was our first international one. Daniel and Petra were awesome! The room was beautiful, the breakfast's delicious, and the location can't be beat. The public transportation is VERY easy to follow and Petra drew us a... More

A very upscale B&B. If you think that you don't like B&B's....you will like this one. The house has 2 rooms with their own bathrooms and the top of the house is an apartment that sleeps 6. The hosts are very personable and accommodating. Each rental comes with 1 off street parking spot. If you have more than one car... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B and based on this experience, it won't be the last. It would be hard to imagine how a B&B could be better. The breakfasts were wonderfully cooked by Daniel, Petra was a fount of knowledge about everything from what the local attractions were and how to get there to what good... More

Returned home yesterday after a 4 night stay at this phenomenal b&b. Petra, Daniel, and the always charming Monsieur Petit were awesome hosts. Spotless room, fabulous breakfast every day, private parking, and fast wifi are just some of the features here. Petra and Daniel were so friendly and helpful, providing much assistance in navigating the city. There are plenty of... More

We enjoyed our stay at A la Carte and would stay again. It's a bit outside the downtown area, but the neighborhood is interesting, and it's easy to get to the Plateau or downtown by bus or subway. The hosts are amazingly genial. We loved talking with them and of course being charmed by Monsieur Petit. Breakfasts were made to... More

A la carte is the kind of bed and breakfast that dreams are made up. Starting with the hosts: Daniel, Petra, and Monsieur Petit. We were charmed by all three. What great company, bon vivants, raconteurs, and so welcoming to me and my daughter. Situated on a quiet, residential street in the Rosemont neighborhood, staying here one could easily blend... Our experience was very gratifying. The more memorable aspects of our stay were: 1) Daniel, our host, was extremely helpful with directions and travel tips for getting around Montreal. Also, he was quite solicitous regards how we were enjoying our stay. He made himself very available for questions, and for having his delicious breakfasts prepared at convenient times. 2) Our... We needed a place to stay in the area and this was recommended by a friend. It exceeded our expectations as we were pampered by our host in so many ways. Breakfast was varied, made to order, plentiful and delicious and I was so happy to have a deluxe espresso machine like I am used to at home. This was... More

I stayed for four days with my family at A La Carte in the apartment. Daniel and Monsieur Petit gave us a friendly welcome. Daniel is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make his guests feel comfortable and welcome. He was so helpful in guiding us toward the must-see attractions and local restaurants. We enjoyed playing with... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
