Near to shopping destination like china town or st catherine. You will have no problem if you love to walk. Friendly staff and very helpfull. All good but not so much on the breakfast. Maybe they could have alternative other than bread only.

This is not the hotel I was expecting. It is very outdated. Must say the personnel was very welcoming. Exchange for a better room, no charge for upgrade. Was told it had continental breakfast, was not offered. The parking is behind the hotel and have to walk up metal stairs oo walk a 1/2 block to the front of the... More

This Hotel served our purpose perfectly. We were in Montreal from the states or three days and wanted to see the sights. Easy walking distance to downtown and all major attractions are accessible by short walk or metro. Now here this. If you are expecting a nice hotel in a prime location that doesn't break the bank you are only... More

Stayed there for 2 nights. Location of the hotel is great but the hotel itself is far from amazing. "Free" parking is extremely inconvenient as you cannot move your car after 3pm and you need to leave them your keys... Not the cleanest room either- had to asked for the room to be properly cleaned the next day- was told... More

...then this hotel may be suited for you. It is downtown, close to the Plateau, steps away from McGill campus. It offers free breakfast - brought to your room, consist of coffee, toast, OJ, and croissant. The hotel also offers free parking, which means that, if you are lucky, you get to park your car under a big tent at... More

I stayed for a night and needed somewhere cheap. The location was great and walking distance to a lot of places. Cons: When I arrived to the Hotel, one of their staff could hardly speak English. Moreover, he couldn't speak from either. Therefore, communication was hard. The parking is free but they park each other vehicle in a column behind... More

To keep this short, This property is pretty dated, in an old triplex, but the location is great. Just minutes away from a Metro station, you are pretty close to downtown. You share toilets and showers with people on your floor so I'm not convinced I would stay here for extended stays, but when I just need to drop in... More

If i had l known how inconvenient the "free parking" is, i would not have chosen this hotel. You are required to give the hotel desk your car key, and you are unable to drive your car out of the lot after 3pm. Essentially, you are a prisoner. We have to leave before 7am, but the desk doesnt open until... More

The hotel is over expected after reading all those reviews, it is clean, comfortable and the location is excellent. You can get to Place-des-Arts Station and underground city within 5 mins walk, and 15 mins to line 2 Place-d'Armes Station. The hotel is very close to OSM (Montreal Symphony Orchestra), I can get to rest quickly after I finish the... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
