the Pomerol took us in at the last minute after a very bad experince at the Hotel Casa Bella on Rue Sherbrook, but thats another review. Nice place, friendly staff, big rooms, decent breakfast, price is perfect. I read in other reviews about the neighbohood, its near the Latin Quarter. But the place is safe and so are the streets.... First impressions can be misleading. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood but found it very nice inside. It is safe to walk the easy twenty minutes to the seaport and Old Montreal as long as you stay on the main streets. The hotel is quite European including the showers. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff if very... More

To be fair we stayed on August 2011. We booked and paid one night thru the Auberge's website and were shaken when after a long day of travel our booking was not found. The staff at the nightshift found us a room and we left early in the morning to continue our trip. Nothing to write home about.

My husband and I stayed at the Pomerol while visiting Montreal. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this little hotel. I was pleased that it is so close to the Montreal metro station, not even a block away. It was easy to navigate from the Gare Centrale where our train arrived over to the UQAM station. The hotel... I booked a room here through booking.com, where the hotel has an 8.5 out of 10 rating, and very good reviews, based on large rooms and helpful staff. Our experience could hardly have been more different. We stay in Montreal at least once a year, and as this was a busy weekend in the city there was limited availability of... More

We've stayed here many times. It's our favorite place, out home away from home. Friendly staff, great location, safe parking behind the building, free coffee and snacks all day. It's also close to many spas which they sell tickets to. We've never been disappointed here!

I was in Montreal for four days to attend Heavy Montreal (a heavy metal festival). As a woman traveling alone I was concerned with not only the hotel's amenities, but personal safety. I had read a few reviews and had seen pictures of Le Pomerol before I left home so I was not too surprised at the cozy room. I... More

I had a great stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was small but perfect for one and the bathroom was bright, clean and modern. I loved the breakfast in the basket outside my door every morning.

We stayed here one night while passing through Montreal one our way home from a Quebec road trip. The location was pretty good. While not in the safest 'feeling' neighbourhood, we've stayed in this neighbourhood once before with no problems and had no problems this go around. The hotel was close to the latin quarter and several restaurants plus a... More

A friend and I have traveled several times to Montreal, and always stay at Auberge Le Pomerol! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to charming Old Montreal, tons of good restaurants, the gay village, Montreal's botannical gardens, and much more. Breakfast each day is a treat. My only complaint would be that the last... More
