This is a cute little hotel with rooms that are less cookie-cutter than your regular chain hotel. The service at the front desk is impeccable and the hotel is conveniently located close to the subways. Rates include free WiFi and breakfast which is nice, and to show how different they are, breakfast can be served at your room in a... More

Dear guest, We are humbled by your kind words of our property, staff and the concept of our breakfast basket. Concerning the door locked after 11 pm, we consider that it’s safer for all our guests, to lock the door when our night attendant is most of the time, not behind the front desk to see who’s entering inside the... What a lovely little hotel. Let's start with Jason. His customer service skills are by far the best we've encountered. Anything we needed he helped us with. If he wasn't sure he quickly found an answer. He really made our short stay excellent. We stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. We were welcomed with a nice welcome card... More

I stayed here with my teenage niece for Oshega music festival in August. The inn is very centrally located - close to great dining and across from the metro. Parking is available for a nominal fee which is a huge plus. Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet even though it was on the front of the building. I... More

The hotel is in a nice location, right across the street from the subway station. It's cozy and affordable. They also provide free snacks for guests. Breakfast is a basket of goodies that's delivered to your door in the morning!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this lovely little hotel. The room was cosy and clean and the free breakfast basket a real treat. Handy location for Metro station and friendly staff who were very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I stayed at Auberge Le Pomerol for 6 nights. Wonderful experience overall for a great value! Highlights: - Great location. The hotel is close to several neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shopping, metro. It's also centrally located and is walking distance to other neighborhoods. In general, the location felt safe; the hotel is not on a main... More

Everything is just like all the other comments described: Excellent! The location is great, metro is across the street, shoppers is in 3 minutes walking distance, 5 minutes walk to gay village and... We were greeted by Jessica and her abrupt and rude introduction to the establishment was not a good start. She did us a favor apparently checking us in. The room was small with overly large furniture but nicely appointed. The bath was small but nicely finished. A jetted tub with overhead shower. Breakfast was delivered to your room or you... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
