This hotel is very cozy, good and friendly staff. Very reasonably price $70. Close to all the restaurants we were able to walk to dinner last night which was awesome. Definitely check it out. It's worth it.

There are not enough adjectives to describe how good our shortened stay was. Here goes. Wonderful reception staff who could not do enough for me when our travel plans had to change. Organized a refund for the night we could not stay eventhough booking was pre paid. Excellent directions to centre bell for ice hockey game. The waiting staff in... More

Decided to take the kids on a small family trip. This hotel was one of our only options as we are a family of 7. We were given a two bedroom suite, which was very spacious. Lovely kitchenette was fantastic for all the food and snacks we brought along to cut costs. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was great,... More

Stayed here for just one night and was very comfortable. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the room was equipped well for business work and the staff was very friendly. I was very surprised when I came down for breakfast. The room was very spacious and the food good. Thanks for a good nights rest!!

Nicely located with convenient parking I had decent hopes given this is a Marriott chain hotel. But wow, the hotel room we stayed in (903) was dated despite some reviews stating it went through renovations the last decade. Maybe they were referring to the lobby - which was nice. But the room had plenty of chipped, cracked, in-need-of-touch up areas... More

Dear MashuMashu, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about the hotel. Although we are glad to hear you enjoyed our convenient location we are sorry about the other aspects which would not have you return to our property. We will definitely inspect room 903 with all the concerns that you have brought to our attention in... More

Hotel located 3 blocks from Metro station. Room was basic and looked a bit "Ikeaish". However, fully equipped with pretty much everything one needs on the road. Breakfast room was huge and service efficient. Really nothing to complain about. Would return if in area again.

We had a two bedroom suite that was very roomy and served our purposes well. Staff were very friendly, especially in the dining room where they put on an excellent breakfast every morning. That said, everything from the lobby, elevator, room and gym are faded and dated . Bathrooms and kitchens have been upgraded but everything else needs to be... More

Dear Snikt21, Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us and fellow travelers. We are happy to hear that you've enjoyed the full buffet breakfast we offer to our guests. They do indeed work very hard in the Kitchen and we will make sure to pass along the message to them. We do apologize the room... More

The guest service here was very good -- friendly, helpful, and gracious. We were visiting our daughter, who is a student nearby, and as such it was ideally located for us. Yes, the elevators are slow! The hotel was much better than several others in the area (namely the Hotel Le Crystal). First, it's half the price for a much... More

Stayed at this hotel several times during the last 3 years. It in an older hi rise building but rooms have been refurbished and relatively new and decent priced. The breakfast is typical of residence Inn, but appeared to have a little more variety in the breakfast meats, ham one day, sausage next, beacon, etc. The scrambled eggs also tasted... More

This is a very nice hotel. It is clearly not new, but kept in good shape. The welcome at the front desk was very warm and friendly. Throughout my stay I found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room had an average size and was clean. Here and there a little paint repair would be necessary. That... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
