This is a well run, clean and comfortable establishment The reception staff were particularly helpful over several issues especially when a booked tour operator failed to show and they made a phone call for us and sorted out the problem so that we were able to spend the day in Quebec. As usual in communal buffet breakfast areas there were times... More

Family weekend trip on May 15-17. Overall, right hotel for the purpose of our visit - great location for walking/strolling with 2 kids (4yrs & < 1 yr); small but good penthouse pool (21st floor); included good buffet breakfast. Only con is that there are only 2 elevators, which often resulted in long waits for an empty/spacious ride to fit... More

I stayed at this hotel in January and found it very convenient so I chose to stay there again for a one-night weekend in early May. I had a one bedroom with separate living room and small kitchen. Once again the stay was excellent, very good service, convenient parking. The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping very clean. The... More

My wife and I stayed her in December last year. We enjoyed the location very much. However we found the service to be very poor. When asking of local restaurants in the area we were given locations of local McDonalds... Very upsetting to a couple of seniors. The rooms were very cozy.

Pretty decent hotel at a reasonable rate. The rooms show their age but not too bad. Close to Crescent Street (about 10 minute walk) Good complementary breakfast. Two inconveniences: 1. If you get a two bedroom suite, there is only one shared bathroom. (Mentioned on the website) 2. The kitchenette has everything except a kettle! Had to boil water in... More

The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was also good. However, the television remote did not work from the bed. It only worked from a foot"s distance from the television. The worst thing was the clogged washroom sink.

Front desk was very helpful. In fact, they allowed us to check in early because our room was ready. Rooms were nice, though our shower seemed a bit clogged. The breakfast is really stellar for a hotel-eggs, potatoes, granola/yogurt, waffles, fresh fruit and more!

Slept 2 nights on a business trip. The hotel is situated 2 blocks away from Rue Sainte-Catherine, a long avenue cutting thru the center with hundreds of shops. Old Montreal is half an hour away on foot. The hotel is well organized, staff are kind and helpful and rooms are fine. My bed was a sort of queen size but... More

I was here on business. I have no complaints about this hotel. Great location, off-street parking available, friendly and accommodating service, breakfast available. Wifi too. The rooms are fine. I stayed here twice this trip. My first room only had a double bed and boarded on the lift. The room was fine, my only complaint was the bed. It was... More

I stayed with my family (with 1 toddler) at Residence Inn Westmount for 1 week. Everything about the stay was amazing. Right from the start when we met the Front Desk staff, they were very helpful and cheerful. We had a really bad flight and their humor eased our moods. The location of the Hotel is Perfect, next to Metro... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
