Good and not so good. As others have stated the elevators are a problem. Just be prepared to wait a little longer than in a hotel with more elevators. It's tired looking but clean enough. The location is residential so it was quiet. We were on the 15th floor and had a balcony and a view of the city and... More

We specifically wanted a one bedroom apt and this was perfect. The staff were brilliant and breakfast was what you would expect. The location was ok and handy for St Catherine St and Mont Royal. It was only a $10 CAD Uber each way trip to Old Town. Linen? Well, we all froze. Not sure why but our bed had... More

We are very happy that our suites accommodated your travel plans, with the living room conveniently separated from the bedroom, along with the full kitchen. We are indeed located two streets up from the well known Sainte Catherine street, its restaurants and... More

Was upgraded to a junior suite, but the overall feeling during our stay was that we were happy that it was only one night. The shower was noisy, bedroom door was off its hinge, carpeting was worn. The list goes on and on. Staff was phenomenal and deserve the recognition. Unfortunately, they were overshadowed by the poor condition of the... More

I would have liked to give a higher rating, but couldn't bring myself to give more than 3 stars even though the room was of good size and comfortable and the service generally quite friendly. Also, there is a small pool which the kids used on a couple of days and enjoyed. The location is fine. Some negatives. The hotel... More

I don't know where to start exactly, because there is a lot to say about this Hotel. It is very clean, and the staff is very courteous. The location is also a huge plus as it within walking distance of Downtown Montreal and shopping on St. Catherine. Breakfast is free and it is quite a spread believe me! they really... More

The hotel is a Residence Inn. As such, a lot is do-it-yourself. Self park in the underground garage, no one to help with luggage. But so what? These are not requirements to a great stay. Rooms and amenities are about what you expect from a Marriott. Breakfast is a real breakfast: eggs, waffles, bacon/sausage, fruit, yogurt, etc. Several days include... More

Nice rooms, very large breakfast, nice pool on top of building, very well located next to shopping mall and metro. Hotel seems a bit old but the suites are modern and well equipped. The staff is nice.

If you want a family style hotel set up then this is it. It's located in a residential area and is not too far from a Highend shopping district. Mcgill University is in walking distance and another College is literally 1 block away from the hotel. While the area immediately around the hotel is residential, the surrounding area has a... More

This the second time I've used this hotel as a base for Osheaga, and while I had a perfectly good stay. I think I might consider alternative's for my next trip to Montreal. The room is a great size, especially for an extended stay. But I had this odd encounter with the housekeeper for the floor I was on. She... More

You need to walk through quite a dodgy part of town to get to the city which is about a 15 min walk away. You'll be smelling weed on lots of the corners. The hotel itself is comfy & the staff are very helpful. Car parking is in the local college unless you drive a short car (under 69 inches!).... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
