Stayed for two nights in May 2012- as other reviews note, the staff is very friendly and helpful with requests for local services (ATMs, restaurants, etc.). Room on 6th floor had pleasant view of Sherbrooke St (although 3 different cab drivers had trouble finding the hotel). Everything else (bed, furniture, bathroom) was fairly old) and nondescript.

Not sure SPG inspects hotels anymore. The smell in the lobby was so bad I has to use my scarf to cover my nose when coming through the lobby. The room furniture was stained and worn out.
