It is hard to believe that this place is priced below $300 a night for a king suite. We had almost a 1200 sq. foot space, equipped with a HUGE bathroom, HUGE bedroom, HUGE livingroom, and a small but fully functional kitchen (not a kitchenette), for around $250 a night, and we got the third night for half price. This... More

Spacious, actually huge rooms, very centrally located in the midst of the action in Montreal, walking distance to almost all attractions including McGill University. Breakfast is very good. Best part is the excellent service. We stayed 3 nights. Since we were traveling with 2 grown up kids, we realized we needed a 2 bedroom suite so they upgraded us with... More

Would recommend this hotel for the location, price value, and size of the suites. We stayed in a "family suite" and appreciated the spacious ness, the high ceilings, how quiet it was. Especially liked our suite because lower than a single room at nearby hotels.

This is our third visit to this hotel and it continues to be a superb place to stay. Rooms are gigantic and tastefully furnished. The Internet is reliable and fast. The AC is quiet and generally powerful enough to cool the entire floor plan. The free continental breakfast bar is clean and delightfully well stocked. The hotel is centrally located... More

My first impression when arriving in downtown Montreal at Le Square on a Friday afternoon, was where will they park my vehicle in this contested place. Luckily when I pulled up and checked in a valet retrieved my vehicle and drove it through a not so obvious garage door that led to the hotels parking garage. The same guy retrieved... More

What we liked: - large rooms with kitchens...well equipped...fridge, dishwasher, stove, utensils, plates, bowls, pots, pans, etc - dining table in the room with four chairs - high ceiling and lots of space - location - concierge and valet...friendly and helpful. The guys really went above and beyond and worked hard to help us and other guests constantly...provided great recommendations... More

I had already short-listed this hotel from Trip Advisor - then my neighbour confirmed she had been there last year and definitely recommended it also. It's a very good choice for location - we were able to walk everywhere within reasonable distance. We had a one bedroom suite - pullout sofa bed was fine for the teens who stay up... More

Could the reviews be right? Was this hotel really all that great? Turns out it was. But let's set expectations. It's not "five star" in terms of amenties etc. But that's not what it says it is. What it is is a terrific hotel with huge rooms, friendly service, great location and a great place for families to stay in... More

Tremendous stay! Room was huge. 2 bathrooms 2 rooms. Kinda spoiled us for the rest of our vacation. Right on St. Catherines Blvd, main shopping strip. Pretty walkable to most stuff. Staff is nice and efficient. Not one of those hotels where there are staff all over the place. Pool is ok, long & narrow. Really is on the roof.... More

I am a loyal Hilton-brand traveler, but I will always stay here when visiting Montreal. an excellent location for the historic district and waterfront. The rooftop pool and gym are beautiful. But service is what makes this hotel special. A good breakfast is made great by attentive staff. We had the best concierges ever. And if they offer you a... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
