My husband and I love to go to Montreal and have been going for over 25 years a number of times a year. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in there. The location is fabulous if you are interested in Old Montreal. The metro station is one black away. The hotel itself is the best part.... More

So the good. Location, location, location. This hotel is in the perfect spot for exploring Montreal. Right off the Place D'Armes and up the road from the Metro. The Old Port and the quaintness of Old Montreal is all around you. St. Denis and The Village and St. Catherine's are easy walks away. The service is top notch and friendly,... More

This hotel and the Hotel Nelligan are owned by the same people whose philosophy is excellence. Rooms are spacious, clean, modern. Service is superior throughout the hotel. The hotel is located across from the basilica and is within walking distance to some fine dining. The hotel offers off street underground parking.

We stayed here during F1 weekend and were very happy with the location and neighbourhood. The room itself was a bit of a letdown. The staff were all very friendly, the service was good but there was just that little attention to finer detail missing, which makes a good hotel, a great hotel. I wasnt keen on the floorboard finish... More

We stayed here for one night in June, 2015, before going on a cruise. The hotel is very nice! There was a minor mixup with the room when we arrived, but it was taken care of quickly and professionally. The only complaint we had was our room - 2207 - was directly over the hotel foyer, and several times during... More

We stayed at Le Place d’Armes Hotel this past weekend for 3 nights in a Standard King Size room. Check-in (and check-out) was swift and efficient and our arrival was topped off with a voucher for 2 free cocktails at the hotel’s restaurant lounge Suite 701. At arrival to our room, there was classical music playing lightly in the background... More

The hotel is very well located, right across from Notre Dame Cathedral, right in the old town itself, but slightly away from the touristy hubbub. Complimentary cocktail first night in 701 restaurant/bar. Terrace is hopping with dj, drinks, can get dinner also and a very nice view. The entire staff in the hotel is very helpful and friendly. Only thing... More

Without a doubt, one of the best places we have stayed in our travels. The location (essentially across the street from the Basilica of Notre Dame and in walking distance from pretty much everything), the room (romantic, elegant, and spontaneously upgraded), the staff, to include the front desk and the Concierge (cheerful, helpful, and obviously proud of what they do),... We had a great king size room in building one on the 6th floor. Loved the hardwood floors and the tub was amazing! My only suggestion would be some soundproofing. Bar is open until 3am and we could hear the noise well into the night. Also, the street sweeper who keeps this place amazingly clean considering how many people come... More

We had difficulty getting to this hotel due to copious amounts of road works, detours and one way streets. When we finally arrived it was worth it, helpful staff who helped with the luggage and parked the car. Helpful concierge, McGill who booked us tickets for the ladies World Cup football the next day. Room very nice with no noise... More

Staying in Quartier International

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention center and retail space with a multi-colored glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterize the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
