The front desk staff advised us that since it was new year's eve, it might be a rowdy night. I even signed a supplemental waiver for damages. We were concerned. I'm happy to say that we didn't hear a peep in the night. To boot the room was huge & clean & has a full fridge if needed. The hotel... More

We came here during Christmas time. It's super close to the old port and really convenient. The one metro station we found really close to us is Saint-Laurent, and there's a bus station on the left where you could take a 747 bus to the airport..

I spent two days at the hotel, right after Christmas, loved the room, lots of space, clean. Close to nice restaurants, walk distance to a Metro station. Friendly staff. Breakfast was not the best but it was Ok. In general, Very good for the price. I have stayed at really small places in Montreal like the Travelodge for the same... More

Our family of five spent a weekend at this hotel in August 2015. This hotel had changed hands since we originally booked our stay and after reading a number of less than positive reviews, we were all a bit anxious that we might not enjoy our stay. We need not have worried as we found the hotel to be very... More

We were at this hotel one night in December 2015. This hotel is well located - near a Metro station, near good restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly. However, the room phone was not working, the heating system (supposed to activate within 5 minutes once the movement sensor activates) did not work and the bathroom floor was not that clean.... Loved the location of the hotel to the 747 Bus service from YUL, and it's just a quick 10 minute walk to a Metro location right near the Latin Quarter. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and up to date. I had a studio room, which included a kitchen, but oddly enough it didn't include things like plates, or forks. But... More

If your looking for a luxury hotel this is not it. But if your looking for a good, comfortable hotel in the heart of downtown Montreal at a great price this is a hotel to consider. Perhaps a little rough around the edges, but they are working on it. The staff a warm and friendly and spoke English well. The... More

Just returned from Montreal after staying at this hotel. We found the place on Expedia at an incredible price so had to try it. Sometimes I'm leery at staying at a place in a downtown city for only $84.00 US a night, but this was worth it. The hotel used to be a Holiday Inn Express and is now undergoing... More

We checked into the hotel on a windy fall evening to a warm reception at the front desk. The location was ideal because the places we wanted to see were nearby. The room was spacious and our two grandchildren let out a big "wow" upon seeing it. It was homey and comfy. The breakfast spread was varied and generous and... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
