Stayd in this hotel during a business trip and I can telecom I had better hotels and definitely worse ones. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are very big and spacious they come with a kitchen and a small bar with chairs, desk to work on and very comfortable beds. Though I didn't had any complaints about service or... More

Stayed here with my daughters to access Irish dancing event over the course of 9 days in the nearby Palais des Congres. In terms of access to this venue it is superb but you also are in Chinatown and within a couple of minutes walk from Notre Dame and Old Montreal. There is reasonably priced Cafe called Terra verde in... More

I am a big Holiday Inn Express fan. Always clean, nice comfy rooms and good breakfasts. We cut our stay at this one from 3 days to overnight because this hotel is so outdated. I wish I would have taken a picture but both queen beds literally sagged a good 8" in the middle. Later I read reviews about bad... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. 4 people aged 28-32 for leisure. Had a suite on the 3rd floor, booked via Priceline. Hotel is dated and not well maintained. Walls in rooms are marked, floors cracked. Bed was hard as a rock and uncomfortable. Smelled were eminating for other units into ours (cigarette smoke, food odors, musty). Furniture had many stains.... More

This was as expected. Clean, fast check in and the location for travel and working here is excellent. Only stayed two nights, slept well and the continental breakfast was fine. A good base for me. Would use it again if work brings me here.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Centre-Ville for 6 nights. While the location is really convenient (right next to a bus stop for the airport express and close to Vieux Montreal) and the staff friendly and helpful, the hotel is a little bit teared down. The rooms look old, the fridge in the room is also old and noisy... More

This is a review of the Holiday Inn Express Centre-Ville Montreal on Rene-Levesque Est. We stayed for 9 days on business in room 710 in mid February 2015. Our room faced Rene-Levesque. Check in was fast and efficient as there was no line up at 8:00 p.m. Demerits for the staff not asking if we needed a map (we did)... More

Arrived Sunday after 3 days in Quebec City (48 high school students, 2 French teachers and 2 chaperones). We were all supposed to be on one floor, but they changed us to three floors. Very difficult for security to do their job. Two toilets overflowed. Rooms were large with kitchen and living room area. Comfortable. Continental breakfast was good.

The hotel itself is in a good location and the desk staff were helpful while we were there. Our rate was sub-$100 per night so we came in expecting nothing special. The room was quite large and in need of some winter carpet cleaning. The kitchen is basically an empty shell with a fridge and a microwave. This would have... More

Great staff, very friendly and helpful! The beds in room 705 were DONE. Ready for the garbage. The non-smoking room reeked of smoke in the bathroom. Needs serious painting and updating in the rooms. Breakfast was good, the attendants were very efficient. Good location. Needs investment to retain Holiday Inn level.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
