It was an evening out on the town for my friend and me. L Hotel was an ideal location to spend the night after a late reservation at a nearby restaurant. Standing in line to check in, I was greeted by Nicolas, the hotel's jack-of-all trades, with a bottle of water, a smile, information regarding parking, and a great welcome.... More

I have never experienced such friendly, helpful, personal service as I did at the LHotel. My five friends and I were on our annual trip, and we all were absolutely delighted with LHotel. In addition to what other reviews have stated, I would like to highlight the hotel's breakfast buffet. Have you ever seen deviled eggs at a hotel breakfast?... More

We spent a night in July 2011 before continuing our trip up to Quebec City, and the hotel is absolutely amazing. There were two original Marc Chagalls on the walls in our room!!!. The entrance hall and corridor were filled with works of art ranging from pictures and drawings of Miró, Andy Warhol, Botero and lots of painters and sculptors,... More

LHotel was a wonderful surprise for us! The photos and reviews are absolutely accurate! Rooms/beds are comfortable, quiet and very well appointed. The hotel lobby is FILLED with amazing art - wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine. The location of the hotel is very central to Old Montreal, the Port, the bike path, good restaurants, Notre Dame.... More

We really enjoyed our stay at L'Hotel. The artwork was amazing, and the staff was excellent. The location was also terrific for touring Vieux Montreal. I did find the jacuzzi tub/shower a bit difficult to use as a shower since the sides were so high. The hotel was just lovely, though and we would recommend this to our friends.

Cabs are easily available on the street. All staff speaks English. Breakfast was good. Cons: Lobby bar service was very... More

We stayed five nights at Lhotel and hated to leave. The location was excellent and we took advantage of it by walking for hours through Old Montreal, biking along the Canal, and easily hopping on the Metro to many parts of the city. The staff was amazing! Cynthia was very patient and made wonderful restaurant reservations for us before we... More

This was our second visit to this property, the first under its previous name. We were in Montreal for a wedding, so only stayed two nights. Overall, it was a good hotel, but didn't really leave us wanting to return a third time. Strengths: This hotel is in an excellent location. It's convenient by foot or metro to all of... More

Fabulous location, & wonderful service in an extraordinary hotel environment. Lovely warm lobby with live bossa-nova music , a nice bar and impressive art. The rooms are charming, comfy,& with beautifully design antique furniture. Formerly an 18 century bank , each room is slightly different with some elegant remnants of its bank days:( suite 318 is the old vault. renovated)... More
