Room was large and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and even the elevator was spotless. Front desk service was very friendly. The hallways are filled with modern srt of the pop art variety, giving this hotel a unique feel.

This was a spur of the moment trip and boy did this hotel have character! Fantastic art and interesting touches. We had a large L-shaped corner room which was comfy, clean, and adorable. My fiance had to work during the days and the wifi was great. The hotel staff did everything- valet, bar, desk, etc. and were quick to help... More

Lots of features to like, but some critical ones need improvement for a higher rating. We checked in quite late in the evening and thought we could make do with the room deficiencies, but they quickly became very irritating – have learned my lesson and will march back out to reception and ask for another room. The not-so-good: no closet... More

a nicely converted office building with a lot of history and terrific art to view throughout the all hallways and lobby. It is very close to the old historic town center and you can find plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood . a lovely riverfront with may cafes and shops and is only about a 15 min. walk to the... This hotel is very unique, we booked king suite in this property and its absolutely amazing. Very warm hospitality. This place has a great character and beauty. Perfect location, relax and friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Nice little details that make all the difference. We look forward to come back to LHotel Montreal.

I would guess the room ceilings are 12 feet high and they are amply spacious with original art adorning the walls. The staff is second to none, the location cannot be better in Old Montreal and even the elevators are. Clean enough to eat off the floor. I cannot think of a better place to visit when factoring everything in... More

It was the perfect location for our family to see Montreal! Our suite was comfortable and the decor throughout the hotel was very unique. Loved all the artwork and the $1 million statue out front made one of the tours we took too.

We had the pleasure of staying at LHotel for the weekend. It's location in Vieux-Montreal was convenient to many historic sites and fabulous dining. The staff were attentive and helpful, and service was wonderful. Our corner room was just beautiful, and incredibly spacious and comfortable. The hotel (and its lobby) is decorated with many interesting works of art. We'd stay... More

Great small hotel in walking distance of all the sights of Vieux Montreal. The art is fun, the beds are comfortable, and our room was spacious and inviting. Staff is very nice, very professional and welcoming. Best of all, due to a mistake on my part we arrived a day before our reservation ....could have been truly awful especially after... More

Surrounded by artwork at every turn, A staff with smiling faces, a beautiful large room, the perfect location and a great bar. How could you not love this place. Will definitely stay here when we return to Montreal.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
