We enjoyed our stay. The parking is off site which isn't great but it is indoors. Rooms are quaint and clean. Late checkout was no problem. Walls are pretty thin but overall I would recommend for a nice place to crash and not spend a lot of time in the room.

Hotel St. Denis is located in the Latin Quarter of Montreal. It is steps away from St. Catherines street, and surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops and bars. The Metro is a stone's throw away, which makes access to the rest of the city incredibly easy. The room is basic, but very comfortable and clean. The building looks to be older,... More

Excellent deal! This hotel is close to everything!!! Walking distance to Rue St-Laurent (night life, restaurants, and bars). The central metro station is a 5 minute walk (Station Berri-UQAM). Close to Old Montreal etc. The hotel has everything you need. A mix of old and new. Check out the basement area! It has a sweet pool table, microwave, and lounge... More

This is a high quality facility. Many folks don't realize that star ratings are not a measure of quality, but a measure of the available amenities. For a 3-star hotel, we found the available amenities very suitable. The room was small, but that is of little importance when all you are doing there is sleeping. There was a desk and... More

Perfect location, very comfortable bed, very clean, very affordable!!!! Why spend 200.00 we you can spend 50.00? Close to Old Montreal, the gay village, restaurants, bars, shopping, and you can walk every where!! Plus parking at 16.00 right around the corner and secure! I'll definitely be back and stay there!

My 1st stay at this hotel, and I'm sure I'll be returning to this place! All the staff were friendly and helpful It was close to everything: Quartier Latin, Berri-UQAM metro station, Bus terminal... I especially loved the king-sized bed! They also have a microwave too, if you ever need to use one, in a basement.

This hotel is really close within walking distance to most of downtown and a short walk to the main Metro station, Berri UQAM. Clean, comfortable beds, and very quiet at the back. I stayed four nights and slept very well.

Great price, basic room but very clean. We walked to the city and experienced a horse an buggy ride. We also went to the underground mall- I was not impressed- too modern and too many people- we have the same shops in the states. Within walking distance of old city, ( this is where we went every night) many shops... More

I wanted to find hotel in the downtown core that was easy to access the Metro(subway), great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. I had it all here. the Hotel is small and well maintained. The first room I booked and negotiated was a very small. The price was absolutely reasonable for the discount I requested. It did the trick if you... More

Do you want to stay as close to the central hub of public transportation as possible? Then stay at Hotel St. Denis as it is super close to the Berry-UQAM stop which is the main intersection of the green, yellow, orange subway lines. The room rates were fairly reasonable and the rooms were clean/comfortable/spacious... but the main reason to stay... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
