The hotelroom was clean but not that big. Big enough though . Hotel is located in Latin Quarter, with lots if nice restaurants. Old Montreal is within walking distance (20 min.) Great value for money.

We went up to Montreal for the Women's World Cup Soccer and wanted a place to stay in Old Montreal. We knew we would be taking in the sites and out and about all day, so we basically needed a nice place to crash. My wife and two daughters ages 10 and 13 stayed in room 416 which was a... More

The hotel is located very close to any number of restaurants, bars, etc. in the Latin Quarter. Our room was quite clean and much larger than expected. After a small problem with the parking garage (not the hotel's fault at all), the young man at the desk was extremely helpful in resolving the issue quickly. We only stayed one night,... More

this hotel is a perfect little hotel to stay in while visiting Montreal. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious. The hotel building is an old one and very charming, but the rooms are renovated with hight quality furniture. A subway stop is a block away, as well as the famous Rue St. Denis strip with numerous bars... More

We chose this hotel for it's location and reviews in Trip Advisor. It is not fancy but the room was clean and the staff very nice and helpful. We had bikes which the staff let us store in a room just off the lobby. Breakfast does not come with the room but we found a diner type restaurant nearby (Deno's).

We stayed in the hotel while in town for the F1 Grand Prix. The location is great for Old Montreal, the pubs and restaurants of St Denis and metro links for all round the city - Berri-Uqam station is right across the street. The rooms are large and clean with big fridges, aircon and free wifi. Staff are really nice... More

Location is good for port, old town, biodome. Lots of on street bars near-by. Room was laid out somewhat strangely but it worked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was close and apparently secure.

We booked a room at this hotel with Priceline and we're pleasantly surprised to learn that we had been upgraded at no charge to a suite with a jacuzzi. Our 4th floor suite was clean and quiet. It included a Keurig coffee maker and fridge. The staff was both personable and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near a Metro... More

This is an older property that has been nicely upgraded. I'm conflicted about how many stars to rate it in terms of luxury--this isn't a luxe place. Its more of a value traveler/smart traveler hotel located in a charming part of Montreal. It certainly isn't drab or boring as many inexpensive hotels can be. The rooms are both nice and... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
