We had a romantic weekend with world class service at the St. James in Montreal this past July. The hotel has an intimate atmosphere and an intelligent team of associates. Simon, at the bar, cheerfully gave us tons of intel on the all the hottest night spots and clubs. Yannis, one of the senior concierge managers, booked us at two... More

In MTL with my wife for a couples weekend and were fortunate to have stayed at Le St James. The room was very comfortable and we loved the wood floors, just like home. What made our stay so enjoyable was the friendly , engaging staff. The consierge went all out to help me arrange a driver to find a family... More

There are plenty of great hotel chains in the US and Canada. Sometimes you come across a hotel thats not part of a chain and you take the chance on it hoping it is something nice. Hotel Le St James is that hotel and then some. Rooms were extraordinary. Service was impeccable. Staff could not go out of there way... More

I have stayed in many great hotels over the years but the St. James in Montreal ranks at the top. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a bi-level junior suite which was not junior in size. There was a nice large area for the bed, a chest of drawers and storage closets. The lower area was a large sitting area... More

We recently had the pleasure of staying at le Saint James Hotel in old Montreal. What a nice hotel. From the minute we got there we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Who went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay. Eddy and Yannis especially went out of their way both prior to our arrival as well... More

I stayed at the Le St. James from 6/24-6/27 and enjoyed my stay. I was in room 304 which seemed to be a Junior Suite with a walk in shower. I booked the least expensive category however it appeared I was upgraded and very thankful for that! I was also given complimentary wifi access, another added bonus. The hotel is... More

We stayed at the Hotel Le St James for 2 nights in June. We had a little trouble finding the Hotel, as it is on a corner and the signage is quite subtle. When we eventually realised there is parking around the corner to unload, we got a pleasant surprise when we entered the hotel. It is located a few... More

I just got back from the St. James Hotel in Montreal. The building is an old bank which has been converted into a charming small hotel with friendly staff, an elegant bar and very nice rooms. The location is perfect, walking distance to many shops and restaurants in Old Town and right down the street from the Notre Dame cathedral.... More

Here is an upscale but old style hotel located in the Old Town District and is within walking distance of key visitor locations. Terrific service, nice bar and tapas and updated rooms. If you take a taxi from the airport, pay in cash.

A friend & I stayed at Hotel Le St-James for a quick overnight while we were in Montreal to see a concert. The hotel is beautiful & the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 802 which was very spacious & had an incredibly comfortable bed. We loved the heated bathroom floors and the shower -... More

Staying in Quartier International

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention center and retail space with a multi-colored glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterize the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
