Really, really wanted to like this place for it quirks, but there were so, so many flaws in our stay that I have to warn other's away. First, free parking is simply a lie. There are a few street spots available directly next to the hotel, but they still have enforcement times that require moving in the middle of the... More

As someone said in a previous review, this place depends on your room, we unfortunately got the tiniest room ever, with the most ridiculous curtain shower, I should have taken a picture, anyways it was horrifying the size and for me it did not look clean. Not a good experience and I won't do this again

Noticed that although the service here has always been excellent in the many years I've been coming here, the experience can be all over the map. We've had clean, quiet rooms and shabby, noisy rooms. As for my visit last week, the service at reception was great both checking in and leaving, but the room left a lot to be... More

Booked an executive queen room which is in annex across the street from main hotel. High ceiling, triple bay window. Bed was super comfy, good wi-fi. Great location, walk to Metro and St-Denis street...full of restaurants and patios. It was crazy hot the week we were there and had to run the window A/C the whole time. Stayed three nights... More

I was driving around for ever trying to find parking and when I finally did I couldn't understand anything as it was all in French. I finally illegally parked and went into the hotel and asked where I should park. I was lucky that I got a spot on the street in front on the hotel. As for the room... More

This is a cozy little hotel in a great location. It is only a few blocks walk from the airport bus stop and two blocks from the metro. Our room and bathroom were small but clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great deal for the price!

When I arrived at the hostal , I thought I was in the wrong place because it looked to nice to be such a good deal. Although I had accidentally reserved a bed in a room for females, there was no trouble rearranging the reservation and finding a different bed. The receptionist was extremely professional and friendly. The bed was... More

Our room fit four people with no problem, noise was never an issue, nor was shower pressure. We could not have made a better choice in hotel! The staff was awesome, ready to help in all ways... Even if you need a hospital at 2 am (we had a child get ill). The metro was so conveniently located that we... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for five nights while we explored Montreal. After a very friendly welcome, we were showed to our room which was exactly what we expected from online pictures - A clean and simple spot that had everything we needed. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to everything worth seeing! The staff was eager... More

We were welcomed very kindly at reception but where then showed to our room across the road which were never told would happen.. The hotel could do with a revamp. The room was spacious but the bathroom was extremely small with a walk in shower that barely spat water.. there was no iron or any items of this sort therefore... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
