NIce, clean room close to all the excitement of downtown Montreal. This hostile offered a wonderful atmosphere for my daughter and I visiting the city. The staff were always available and helpful with directions and wake up calls when needed. The shared kitchen was great for us, as any leftovers from dining out could be brought back and warmed up... Stayed for 3 nights. Lots of stairs and no elevator. Front desk staff was really rude. Breakfast sucks. Mattresses where really hard and you can tell they where cheap. Room itself was decent but small. There was lots of dust and stuff on the floor behind the night table in between the beds. Air conditioning was good. Wifi would barely... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a recent visit to Montreal. Room was clean and suitable. Location was great. No complaints whatsoever for the price. We were able to park in a garage nearby with a pass provided by the hotel for additional fee. A little odd but worked out fine. Our room was across the street... More

3 friends and myself recently stayed at Hotel de Paris for a music festival in the city. the hotel was in a great location (15 minutes travel time by public transit) and had all the amenities that we needed (we even got lucky with free street parking for the weekend). The front staff we super nice with us, checked us... More

Only booked here because everywhere was sold out, so I should have know better. Room was nothing like the photos. the floor was dirty, shower and bathroom were tiny, breakfast was scramble eggs with white bread only (and you have to pay extra for it!). Not the smartest or warmest staff. Wifi was okay, on and off. my room had... More

We booked this hotel for our trip to Montreal and the Just for Laughs Shows. When we arrived the check-in was fast and with no issues. But we got the room that is in Front of the Front Desk (Room 22) That made our stay a bit unpleasant as there is a lot of noise coming from the Front Desk... More

I booked Hotel de Paris for myself and 8 friends through hotwire during the August long weekend. We called the hotel ahead of time to ensure that we had at least 2 beds per room to accommodate the 8 of us. Upon getting to the hotel to our surprise we were told we only have 2 rooms with one single... More

We were very pleased that we stayed in Hotel de Paris two weeks ago. The location is wonderful. We walked to China town, old Montreal, gay village from the hotel. The Metro is about 3 blocks away (We paid $10 for 24 hours unlimited rides). The front desk were super friendly and very helpful for the travel information. We stayed... More

My friends and I had an absolutely horrible experience here. We booked a 4 person room months in advance for a busy music festival weekend. We showed up to the hotel at 11am but couldn't go into our room then as it was occupied. We explained that we wouldn't be back until late because of the festival, and the staff... More

Really, really wanted to like this place for it quirks, but there were so, so many flaws in our stay that I have to warn other's away. First, free parking is simply a lie. There are a few street spots available directly next to the hotel, but they still have enforcement times that require moving in the middle of the... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
