We had a really lovely stay in one of the suites for this weekend. My husband and I brought our 7 week old son for his first international trip. The room was great, plenty of space for our pack and play. Cute kitchenette that we will definitely use next time. Awesome staff and great locale for restaurants and shopping.

Rooms are quiet and large, with Nespresso coffee machines, soft robes, and a large shower and separate soaking tub. The hotel is close to the best of old Montreal shopping and great dining. Free wifi is a plus.

The only thing that we appreciated of this hotel is its location and the nice bathroom. The room are weirdly done, they look big but there is actually little place to put things away, space is wasted and I have no idea how people are suppose to use this as an apartment. The staff attitude was awful, very blasé, borderline... More

The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very attentive. The room was very spacious and clean. The room had a deep tub and fireplace. The hotel location made it easy to come and go with many great restaurants and shops.

This was our second stay at Le Saint-Sulpice. We were not disappointed. From the staff, to the restaurant, to the well-appointed rooms, the hotel is a perfect getaway for a weekend in Montreal. Situated in the middle of Old Montreal, almost next to Notre Dame, you can easily walk to shops and restaurants, as well as to the old port.... More

Got a bargain room rate with superior accommodations and cooperative hotel staff. Was within walking distance of great restaurants, Old Montreal and Vieuw Porte. Department stores not far away. Neither is the fashionable St. Catherine St. oops Rue.

My husband and I just spent our 16th wedding anniversary at Le Saint Sulpice from March 13-15th. I checked Tripadvisor before we went and I can see why they receive such great reviews. The greeting from the minute we drove up to the front of the hotel, the valet, the reception, all fantastic. It had been a long drive from... More

The best mattress I ever slept on in my life! The staff is very friendly, the hotel so well situated and the neighbourhood is fantastic: great places to go out and chill with friends or family. We staid there with my husband and had an amazing time, I strongly recommend the hotel

We come to Montreal once a year for business and have stayed at this hotel at least 15 times. The location is perfect as you can walk to great shopping and incredible restaurants, plus you are in Old Montreal (my favorite part of the city). It is right behind Notre Dame basilica and you hear the peal of church bells... More

I spent the last weekend in February in Montreal, the cold weather was trumped by the warmth and friendly atmosphere of the St Sulpice. I haven't found such value for the dollar in quite some time. In addition to the above, add the charm of Old Montreal and it makes for a complete package.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
