We stayed here for a getaway weekend and quite liked it. I enjoy staying in old Montreal because it's not a part of town in which I actually want to spend a lot of time, so making it a home base means I get a taste without having to make a special trip. The hotel is quite modern and the... More

So coming in by train this was a perfect location a short walk from central station in beautiful Old Montreal. It was in walking distance to downtown, the metro and the old-port but just far enough away that you never felt overwhelmed by crowds. The building itself was a lovely historic property. Interiors were clean, minimalist and contemporary. I had... More

Lovely contemporary rooms with luxurious linens. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to excellent restaurants and museums and the old port. The adjacent HamBar restaurant is pricey but good. I enjoyed the casual Brit Fish fish and chips shop nearby!

The St. Paul is located on the south end of Old Montreal and an easy walk to the North End. It is conveniently located not only for seeing Old Montreal, but for seeing the vast majority of Montreal itself. I'm a walker and getting around Montreal is quite easy. Housed in a beautiful building on the edge of Old Montreal, this hotel is a gem. Immaculately clean, beautiful rooms and spotless bathrooms with HUGE tubs and good lighting. The rooms are well lit with excellent sound systems. The neighbourhood is quiet, and there are loads of cafés and restaurants in walking distance. The Hambar downstairs has am excellent bar,... More

Been there for business. The hotel is well located. The building itself is beautiful. The room and the service are good. However the hotel itself is a bit dark: you should not be claustrophobic! Breakfast is fine.

We spent 1 night in the charming hotel on our way to upstate NY. Great location - just walk behind the hotel for 5 minutes and you're in Old Downtown. Beautiful rooms, lobby, and friendly staff. The restaurant looked really nice - but we chose to go to dinner in Old Downtown. My only complaint is that we had to... More
