Discovered this smaller jewel on a recent trip to Montreal (great rate on hotwire.com). Reminded me of hotels in New York City - smaller, club like elevators, modern, minimalist - very appealing. Excellent service - I left a significant tip for the personable woman who looked after my room. Did not eat here as within walking distance of absolutely everything... More

I spent 5 nights there for a wedding in the Centre des Sciences de Montreal. Great location, very dedicated bilingual staff. We had the deluxe suite. The room was beautiful with comfortable bed and sofa, nice linen, modern bathroom, modern and welcoming furnitures. We ordered breakfast in the room, the breakfast was very good with generous portions. We only had... More

We booked this hotel based on price and location, and we were not disappointed. The staff is very nice, and the rooms are decent sized, with hardwood floors. The hotel is located on the edge of Old Montreal, so it's just a short walk around the corner to great shops, cafes and restaurants. It's also right down the street from... More

We spent three nights here it is, was great. Location was ideal in Old Montreal at the end of St. Paul street. Rooms were spacious enough. Decor is modern, building is pretty and the staff was helpful. I would skip the hotel restaurant as there are plenty of breakfast and dinner option within minutes. We definitely would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel St Paul. 7th floor room was beautiful/well appointed, offered a great view of the street, and clean. (Nice big tub, tiled bathroom, linen robes.) Front desk service, porters, and valet parking staff were totally courteous and equally nice to French- and English-speaking customers. We did not do any onsite dining...preferring to take a... More

The hotel is very well located. Is 10 minutes walk to Jacques Cartier Square but having those 10 minutes distance makes the difference when you want to return to a quiet place to rest. The hotel is in an old building but is fully renovated inside. The rooms are spacious and nice, the style is very modern/eclectic, those styles with... More

At $220 for a spacious and beautifully decorated room with nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, our one-night stay at the Hotel St. Paul was both a great deal and an enjoyable experience. It's an entirely modern hotel located in the former Canadian Express building on the edge of Old Montreal, and an easy walk to the sites in that part of town... More

I booked a room at the St-Paul for the jazz festival, on July 4 and 5, for a family of 4. I was very disappointed. First, it took the reception more than half an hour to reconcile the price I was guaranteed on my online reservation (done through their own website) and the price they wanted to charge me on... This is a nice hotel from the outside and the location is good, but its dark and rundown. The service and people were great though and the bathroom is nice and spacious. The hallways make you feel like you're in the redlight district and not very safe for a woman travelling alone. The room was run down with scuff marks... More

Stayed for the first time at Hotel St.Paul. Couldn't ask for a better location if visiting Old Port. Also easy to accessing for driving in and out of Montreal. Valet staff were excellent, very friendly and pleasant to talk to. Overall good stay, would stay again in future.
