Stayed here for a night while travelling through the USA and Canada. The hotel was pretty easy to find, parking was possible on a small lot behind the hotel (for which you had to hand in the keys of the car to the guys at the parking, which felt somewhat weird. We noticed this at a lot of parkings though).... More

The location is perfect for shopping, restaurants and clubbing! The international jazz festival was ongoing and the ambiance was wonderful! We parked at complexe desjardins and it... More

I read reviews before booking here, so I knew about the stairs and I knew about the erotic boutique located below. Once you get past those things, this place is really a great value. Clean, spacious room with wonderful hardwood floors and exposed brick just as pictured. Our room was on the street side, with our window situated right next... More

I just got back from my stay in Montreal on Sunday and as I travel quite frequently for business and pleasure I am always trying out different hotels to see what kind of experience I will receive. This hotel was perfect as it was situated within the downtown area of Montreal. A great walking experience as it put us right... More

The hotel is very well located, i.e. in the middle of the city (though over a sex shop, for those traveling with kids) and the staff was friendly. The hotel itself is average, and the inside is nicer than the outside (you wonder where you are staying when you get there). It's a good place to stay when you are... More

Hello, you are so right, in montreal a lot of the inside buildings are nicer then the outside. Espacially the historic ones. Thank you for your nice comments. Carole More

The location of this hotel is perfect - a 10min walk from Old Montreal, half a block from the metro station, and a block away from the airport transit bus. We stayed in a room that faced away from the street, so despite the busy nightlife in the area we heard very little street noise! The staff is wonderfully helpful,... More

Thank you for your review and your kindness for our hotel and location. The step stairs are not easy for people its a part of behing in a historic building and iam realy pleased to read that was no problem for you. Best regards. Carole More

This was my first trip to Montreal and the location of this hotel was absolutely perfect! My 2 friends and I stayed in the studio with the separate entrance and the long flight of stairs and we enjoyed the quiet. Our only quibble would be the lack of lighting at our separate entrance as we walked all day and evening... More

This was a very quaint hotel that is centrally located. It's very clean, cute, & comfortable. Amazing continental breakfast every day! Zachary & David took great care of us. This place was a winner & I'd definitely stay there again!

Great location, room very clean and warm, no street noise. Priced reasonably. Downside to hotel - lots of stairs. Lots. If you have a big bag you might find it a challenge if you are not fit. Not sure if there is disabled access.

Thans for your review, you are right people have to manage the steep stairs because we dont have any elevator its a historic building, and now that the street is pedestrian its even nicer to be downton,,hourra for the location. I hope we will see you back soon, Carole More

First. Unexpectedly, they gave us an isolated room with long stairs in another apartment separate from the hotel building. The room smelled cigrette smoking. However, they kindly offered to change the room. Second. The price was unexpectedly higher compared to Frenchized inns. Rooms were clean. Service and hospitality was poor.

Hello,i am sorry about the inconvenient with the different entrance for the studios, we try to get it more quiet that way. Thanks about the note on the smoking smell we are a non-smoking hotel and i will see for those who did not respect our politic. I dont understand your second part, is it possible the price is more... Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
