There is no "staff" since there is no lobby. The gentleman who checked me is was very pleasant but was not at the property - he I think was somewhere nearby - contact by phone call. The room was clean but the furniture had stains - which makes me uneasy about sitting on it. Given that it was about 9-14... More

My friends and I decided to spend the New Year in Montreal and we are so glad we did. We stayed for 5 days at the Majestik. Our room was decently sized and fit three comfortably. We chose this hotel for the price (most of all) and location. It's a bit tricky to find, but after we did, we were... More

This is like an apartment type hotel, we got a suite with a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen, its pretty big and wonderfull if you are staying for some time since you can cook in it. Location is pretty good, metro station is nearby and there are convenience and drug stores near it. Only thing is that this is... More

We did read all the previous reviews about this place, and had our doubts. But it was the only place in/near downtown MTL for just over $100 with a kitchen. We were traveling with our 2.5 year old and an apartment hotel was convenient for us. And we are adventurous people, so we decided to take a chance. It turned... More

I see a lot of reviews saying "don't go", "terrible hotel" etc. I don't quite agree. I was very happy with the location - only two blocks south to St. Catherine. If you prefer, you could cook your own meal in a new kitchen. The walls aren't very soundproof but we had no issue. The beds were very comfy, the... More

I stayed in this aparthotel with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Booked through booking.com. It was a very terrible horrible disgusting aparthotel we've ever stayed at. 1. No elevator. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had to carry everything up using the stairs. We have a toddler and a baby meaning lots of stuff to carry.... More

This is not a hotel. There is no parking, no front desk, and no guest services. It says no elevator. It does not say you will need to carry your luggage four floors on your own. When you arrive, the door is locked. You must call a number assuming you have a phone and assuming your phone has a carrier.... More

Stayed here for 8 nights, safe to say this is not a hotel but is basically an apart-hotel. Do not expect frills! Positives: The apartments are a good size - good sized bedroom, living room and separate kitchen. Clean towels every day, beds made up and all your basics like toilet paper etc. replaced. We asked for extra toilet roll... More

Man, I loved this place! But, I can see why others might not be so keen on it. If you like the idea of having your own apartment in downtown Montreal this is a great place for you, just know that no one is going to show up to replace the toilet paper or fluff your pillows… Getting there -Check... Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
