After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I was prepared to be disappointed with this hotel. I wasn't responsible for making the reservations for this trip and quite possibly would never have booked here. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my 3 night stay. Yes, the rooms are small, so if you're visiting Montreal and planning to spend a lot of... More

Wow! I can''t believe this place. Looks nice enough lobby and from the outside, but rooms look like a jail cell. Mouldings ripped off the wall in the hallways. We didn't even stay, but my loss's and checked out! Told the front desk that the rooms looked like a dump. I then made a reference upon walking into my room... More

The room was small, the toilet didn't work well, I had to fix it twice, as if I go to a hotel to do reno's. The tape was so hard to open and get water it took 2 hands to pull. I dropped the soap in the shower and it was too small in there to bend over and pick... More

A decent basic hotel; a comfortable bed and good internet connection, but no mini-fridge, had to request a lock box from the front desk, only dresser draws and no hangers, no ironing board. Good location at a low price.

On the face of it, the Travelodge is just one of a bejillion inexpensive places to stay. The rooms are smallish, although well appointed, the amenities standard, the price very reasonable. But once you add in the staff, things rise above average. They are unofirmly excellent, patient and helpful, going well beyond what would be required of them, and surpassing... More

room was very tight/small, but fairly neat. Complementary breakfast was very poor however. I usually see sausage or scramble egg options, but there were no protein choice other than yogurt. Otherwise, clergy was very nice and helpful and great location!

The only thing good about this hotel is its location. We were placed in a tiny room accross from the elevators and everytime someone landed on our floor, we could hear everything. They did manage to switch the room for one further down the hall but keys were not functional. I must have gone back to reception at least 4... More

Stayed at Travel Lodge in Montreal Address: 50 Boul Rene Levesque Ouest. I regret to say that we are extremely disappointed and upset with my stay here. I stayed in this Travelodge Montreal Centre in the 2014 summer with my friend. We traveled there for summer vocation, and we had a great experience indeed. This hotel was located in downtown Montreal, airport bus service was available, and it was close to office buildings, the Chinatown, Jazz Festival venue, and the old Montreal town, both business and leisure... Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighborhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centers, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
