First of all, I am an international flight attendant who has stayed around the world in good and bad hotels so I feel I can be fair. My daughter and I also went up at the last minute for the World Cup and this hotel was about all we could find. From all the reviews I read, I was expecting... More

I went up last minute to see the Woman's World cup Match, so there few good discounted rooms in the city. I got this place for a hundred, which was OK(considering it was Jazz Fest ant the tens of thousands of other folks here to see the USA women play soccer) I knew the rom would be tiny, it was.... The guest bathroom was a terrible state. There was many bugs/spiders on the ceiling. The towels were dirty/stained. The comforters looked dirty. There was dried nasal mucous on the walls. It seemed like NO ONE did their job to make sure the room was cleaned properly from the previous guest. We left early from the hotel because we were thoroughly... More

This hotel is walking distance from the Metro and Old Montreal, so very well located. Parking was was a bit of a gong show; the number of spots are very limited and you cannot park without checking in or having a room number. Then entrance and exit to the parking garage is the same so we and two other cars... More

I gave this hotel a high rating only because I knew what I was booking due to reading reviews of the property before booking. If you are expecting a spacious room, this is not the place for you. the room was very small, washroom was very compact. It is also not very sound proof. But, like I said, I expected... More

This hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Montreal, close to all the shopping and sites and is a 15 minute stroll to the Old town and little Italy where there are many great restaurants. It is an inexpensive hotel and the complimentary breakfast is very basic (you can buy some cooked food) and our run of house room... More

Travelodge Montreal Centre provides a modest accommodation for less cost than other central Montreal hotels. Bedding and towels were clean. The plumbing worked. Hotel notes the rooms are compact. This guest also notes the toilet/shower was compact!

I stayed for vacations 2 days with my wife and 2 boys. Hotel is located 5 minutes walk from a subway station, 10 minutes from the train station, 15 minutes from Notre-Dame Basilica and the picturesque and turistic Rue Saint Paul. Location can't be better. Breakfast buffet is average. It's not easy to find hotel room with 4 beds so... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighborhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centers, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
