We stayed for 4 days in this hotel.Noisy, not clean, wash room was terrible. The flash tank running all the time, wasting water and making lots of noise. Also the air conditioner in the wash room was so noisy. We called several times and complained but nothing done. To get served for breakfast, we had to wait almost an hour.... More

Arriving from Rockport by car the only problem was when my sat nav tried to send me through a building site near the hotel. Once we arrived and sorted the parking (at a cost) we found that the location was very good. We were a short walk from a variety of shops and restaurants and also not too far from... More

I guess you really get what you pay for. It was only $80 a night. This place was a real dump. The front desk when we checked in late that day was oddly frat-like. They were joking around with each other. Semi-unprofessional. There was no parking left at their lot, so they had to direct us to another lot that... More

We stayed at the Days Inn last weekend. While it was nice to see they updated their rooms, I was disappointed in their indifference regarding our stay. When we first arrived it was extremely hot so we turned on the air conditioning. It was ridiculously loud, it was rattling and sounded like something was terribly wrong with it, so I... More

We were in town for a fireworks cruise and this was close walking distance. We walked down Rue St Laurent, through China Town and Old Montreal to the port, it was really a lovely location except the hotel itself was nothing to write home about. We did not eat there but walked 2 blocks north and across the street from... More

RATINGS: This hotel is old, smell, beds mattresses are old, spring gone. This is definitely not a 3.5. We travelled a lot and in many countries and this is very disappointing for a Days inn. It should be and its time they update this place at least to reflect the others and the photos as advertised. LOCATION: Great and best... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
