I came to Montreal with my family to visit the city and we stayed here. The bathroom and rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly enough as well. The internet was virtually unusable though. My cell is an american cell phone so I turned off my roaming data to avoid the ridiculous charges so when... More

I spent my first time here in Canada at the Hotel Espresso. I travel extensively all over the world and am very picky about my accommodations, and being that when I finally arrived here it was after a solid 30 hours of travel from Southeast Asia I was a bit grumpy to put it lightly. That all changed when I... More

I thought I would write a long tale of our stay at the Expresso Hotel but my wife made me hold my tongue. All I'll say is drinking helps forget your stay! If you can't find a drinking buddy there are lots in lobby. Things to look forward too: Naked lady next door, no sleep, angry people

Standard rooms in this hotel may have connecting doors to the room next door. You can hear every word your neighbors say! We had to complain multiple times before getting another room. The lobby music is so loud it is hard to check in.

We booked in Hotel Espresso after reading many reviews and getting a pretty good sense of what to expect, and within 15 minutes of checking in everything seemed in line, reviews and comments fair with no surprises (good or bad). The location is great, sitting between two main Metro lines, around the corner from the Bell Centre, a walk from... More

My friend and I went to Montreal for 1 night we stayed at espresso because it was very close to the concert we went to. Upon arriving into our room we noticed it was very dirty and unkept. And there was dust hanging from the a/c. Before leaving for the concert we went down to the restaurant to eat something... More

The hotel fits the description. Is good value for money, staff are great and really helpful. I read a lot of unjustified complaints, I too have one: the food at the restaurant was so bad I can't describe it. Should I have sent it back? Yes, Should I have thrown it back into the kitchen? Yes. I didn't as that... More

Staying at Espresso several times in the past, we knew that it's a decent place to stay, that's relatively inexpensive. We checked in last Friday late, and the front desk gentleman apologized to us saying that the only room left in the hotel (they were booked full) had a broken door key. Because of the inconvenience of having someone to... More

We had booked in advance but arrived early in the morning and tired from our journey and so were initially pleased to be offered a room straight away. Anything seemed better than having to just dump our bags and then find something to do for several hours. However we were put on the third floor - which we later presumed... More

This was my first time in Canada (I'm from the U.S.) and I honestly didn't know what to expect. When we went to check in, we were immediately greeted by a warm, friendly representative at the front desk. She was kind, courteous and answered all our questions (there were many) with ease. She gave us a lot of great suggestions... More
