Beds are very comfortable, fee for parking, not that friendly check in staff, hotel can use a renovation, shower is weak, not enough outlets, quick room service, was not as nice as I understood from the photos. Will most probably not return, recommended if you need to be in this area, and no better place is available.

I was on a business trip to Montreal when I decided to stay in a new hotel that I had heard about, but never actually visited before. A couple of business associates had recommended this hotel the last time I was in Montreal, so I decided to take a chance and made a three day reservation. The Hotel Espresso was... More

The location is definitely very convenient, although the blocks immediately surrounding it have a lot of construction going on. Also, we were coming back late one night, walking from the subway, and there was a group of teenaged boys just loitering outside the building, which made it feel not so safe. The rooms are adequate but not great. There was... More

Good location (walking distance to Bell Centre and Saint Catherines). Immediate neighbourhood under construction. Rooms fair size but sparce (laminate floors instead of carpeting). Mine had a great view of downtown. Fast free WiFi. Restaurant however looked scary, and the menu was something you see in a school cafeteria (spaghetti, lasagna, sandwiches,...). I think I paid a good price for... More

We stayed here for 2 nights to catch some of the World Juniors. We booked on Priceline via the Express Deal, so it worked out well that this hotel is so close to the Bell Centre. We were more than pleased with the location and proximity to Rue Ste. Catherine (shopping and restaurants galore). One of the other big bonuses... More

I stayed here for a weekend, basically to see a hockey game and do some shopping. Upon checking in, we were given a hotel room that was a joined room with a door for pass through to next door. We discovered this when we walked into the room, and considering it was only early and the people next door were... More

Staff from the manager down need to take a hospitality and customer service course as they were very lacking in the area of social skills and how to make customers feel welcomed. What the website offered and what we got were two different things. As a frequent visitor to Montreal this particular hotel has lost a large amount of regular... More

It's clean, you get free wifi, it's centrally located, and parking offers in/out privileges. Like many others have mentioned, it does have the same people who hang out in the lobby all day and night long (I suspect they must be from up north and come down for health care and are housed in the hotel by the provincial government).... I stayed at Hotel Espresso for a weekend. After reading reviews, I was a bit worried but to my suprise the hotel staff and hotel itself were completely fine. I called ahead of time to request a newly renovated floor(7th floor), which I was provided with. The room was super nice and trendy looking. The hotel staff gave great customer... More

This hotel looks a little rough on the outside, especially with the number of people hanging out outside smoking and in the lobby of the hotel watching TV day and night. I don't think they're guests but not really sure what they are always doing there. Other than that the hotel is fine. The rooms are nice and clean and... More
