We liked this hotel. It's in an old brownstone close to the subway station. It was a long walk from train station, but though some nice neighborhoods. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful and recommended some great lunch and dinner spots. The spiral staircase was quite steep as were the front steps, which may be a problem for... More

I enjoyed my one night stay at this hotel. The hotel is located in a great location on a quiet street, close to restaurants, shopping etc. My room was comfortable and clean. There are no elevators but that was not a problem for me. The breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, croissants, hard boiled eggs and fruit. I would stay at... More

This hotel was a big disappointment. We cannot understand the high ratings given to this hotel by others. One of the reasons we chose this hotel, other than the positive ratings of other travelers, was the location. It was close to the subway, the museum of fine arts, McGill University, and restaurants, and located on a charming street. On the... More

Beautiful and well kept hotel. Very clean. My boyfriend and I stared here one night in June on our way to the US. We had the family suite (only one available due to our short booking time) and it was beautiful. Large, comfortable bed, sunken tub, and lovely view. Perfect location in downtown Montreal. Parking is at the back of... More

This hotel is absolutely charming. It's well kept and clean. Our room had a bizarre layout, but it had everything we needed including an air conditioner. This hotel does not have an elevator, but the stairs were easy enough for us. Luckily, we didn't have too many bags! We stayed on Saturday July 12 and the location was great. We... More

A small hotel within minutes of Peel and Sherbrooke, close to the Metro, nothing fancy, but competently run and priced reasonably. Less than 25 rooms in a somewhat funky conversion of two adjacent century homes, very clean, polite and helpful desk staff, no parking, so you need to understand Montreal's very confusing parking signage, or.... ask the desk staff for... The hotel may quaint but the rooms have all the amenities. All of downtown is right outside the door. Price is right compared to the high-rise hotels in the area. There's a modest continental breakfast and they had homemade jam, and on one day, homemade smoked salmon spread for your bagel.

Quaint hotel with great service. Great location! It was nice to stay in a place that had character. The bathroom had recently been remodelled. Having a key instead of a card was fun too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't have problems climbing stairs with their suitcases.

Steps, from museum and upscale shopping district, this is a charming hotel with friendly bilingual staff, and very reasonable prices for the location. Formerly 2 residential homes, my room was huge, and it came with a magnificent sunken tub that was just perfect after the long train ride to Montreal. It's really more a B&B than a hotel, but I didn't... More
