This is a cute B&B located in a great spot in Montreal, we recently stayed here for 2 nights. The Inn-Keepers were lovely, very helpful and kind. It's not the fanciest of places, but it's cozy and practical. Our room was air-conditioned which was great, and was kept clean. The breakfast is through different cafes close to the B&B and... More

This is a reasonably priced B&B. It is not fancy, but it is practical. the breakfast is a $5 voucher for each person. The innkeeper will give you vouchers to different cafes in the neighborhood. The $5 will not cover an entire breakfast, but it puts a dent into the overall cost. the innkeepers were very helpful with directions and... More

We 3 (wife +kid) stayed here for 3 nights....and truly enjoyed the tranquil calm relaxed ambience of Carole's home...the place is neat and clean at all times...+wifi & parking:-)) and very close to Sherbrooke metro...it has lovely cafe's, pubs, late night eateries just 5min away...We enjoyed talking to Carol and Alan (owners), my son got his first tips on tennis... The "free parking" that's advertised is just street parking. They'll help you find a spot, but you might need to move your car depending on the day. The breakfast was just a $5 coupon for a nearby cafe (not enough to actually buy breakfast). And worst of all, the place has bed bugs! If you're going to stay there, be... More

I respect your opinion about our B&B Inn. I am very concern about the Bed Bugs issue!!! we do not have any complaints about it and do inspect our beds on a regular basis. Since this is a health issue and have to take immediate action ; I request your name, adresse, date of stay, and your room number. The health and... More

My husband and I are foodies, so first we found a restaurant we really wanted to eat at....then we chose a B & B within walking distance of the restaurant that is not too expensive. This place fit the bill. Our room was quaint and had everything we needed. The host was wonderful. He even spent time with us going... More

We stayed for three nights while at a conference at UQAM. We also arranged while there for two other rooms for a night for a student who had accompanied us and for our daughter. Carole and Allard were helpful, warm, and cooperative, perhaps especially with the perennial Montreal parking problems (and with talking us down St.-Denis from the highway via... More

Carole very graciously allowed us to stay one night as we were only able to visit Montreal for two days. It's a lovely location - a beautiful old house. I love old houses. The breakfast room is very sweet, felt very bright and airy. We were on the first floor, towards the back. Nice and quiet. We had to share... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
