Location - wonderful quiet residential street close to McGill University. Short walk to shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Mont Royal. Space - fantastic. We had the stained glass suite which comprises a large basement level with 2 bedrooms, shower room, lounge and kitchen. Lots of space. Hospitality: - fantastic. The Belgian hosts made us welcome, and provided a good... more

As former McGill students now living in Paris with a large family of 4 boys, we visit Montreal every year. Castel Durocher has everything we need: space (the two bedroom suite for the boys and the one bedroom suite for us); location (next to McGill and right downtown); practicality ( full kitchens, breakfast, parking) and ambiance (a family style welcome... more

Castel Durocher is a wonderful B&B situated within walking distance of several attractions in downtown Montreal. The rooms and apartments are comfortable, clean, tidy and spacious. It is run by the fabulous Sandrine and Vincent, who make every stay a truly pleasant experience. We love Montreal for many reasons and staying at the Castel is one of them. more

Castel Durocher is located in two old and completely renovated houses in the Mcgill University area of Montreal. It is close to lots of cool places in Montreal. We've stayed here twice and both times have been simply wonderful. It is run by a French Belgium chocolatier/artist couple who are extremely engaging. There is a variety of rooms, all of... more

I have now stayed at Durochet twice, and was thoroughly pleased both times. The rooms are clean, private, very comfortable and well-decorated with a flair for the artistic. The hosts are friendly, full of tips about how to experience Montreal, and the Belgian chocolates are a bonus. I'll never stay in a hotel when I visit this city again. more

We have stayed at several places in Montreal, hotels and B&B, by far the Castel Durocher is the best. It’s centrally located to shopping, museums and the subway. It’s in walking distance to the nightlife on Peel, the craziness of St Catherine and the great food on St Laurent. Vincent and Sandrine treated us more like family than guests and... more

Great place! I need to stay regularly in Montreal to attend environmental meetings and after having stayed a few times in big hotel chains, I discovered this B&B. All rooms and suites are large, artistically decorated and provide you with a homy feeling where one can crash after a day of stressful meetings. Sandrine and Vincent are truly wonderful people... more

We stayed for 3 days this past February in the downstairs apartment. The apartment is very tidy and looks like it was remodeled, with hardwood floors and tiled kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom looks very modern. Kitchen was outfitted with crackers, cheese, spices, OJ, milk, cereal, chocolate samples, and fresh fruits (although the coffee in the cupboard was expired). Plusses:... more

I stayed here quite a while ago but it was a great time. It was four of us and we rented out the entire place so it was two bedrooms, a bathroom room, living room area and kitchen/dining area. Everymorning, the owners -- who were very nice -- brought down chocolate croissants. It was in a great location--walking distance to... more

This is a lovely, personable bed and breakfast operated by Sandrine and Vincent, a Belgian couple who immigrated about 14 years ago to Montreal and are raising their family there. The bed and breakfast is in a historic Victorian mansion, with an additional upstairs suite in a building around the corner. My son and I stayed in this accommodation during... more
