We LOVED Petite Auberge Les Bons Matins and will certainly stay here again whenever we return to Montreal. They have some parking - be sure to ask, street parking is a bit tricky. This Bed & Breakfast is so close to everything you need to be close to in Montreal! The food was delicious with great service. The rooms are... More

My fiance and I stayed in the deluxe suite (501). It's a great room but i should mention that its in the basement. Since it was winter we didn't mind so much, but it can sometime get noisy from the suite upstairs. If staying in the summer i would request suite 601or 502 to take full advantage of the terrace... This is my husband and my 3rd or 4th time staying here. It is wonderful! The rooms are quirky, comfortable, artsy and perfect. Breakfast is delicious. It's literally steps from the metro that you can get anywhere you want. It's a short walk to St. Catherine street. Even if I tried I could not think of a single complaint or... More

Lovely, attractive and very comfortable and quiet room with a large bedroom and bathroom. We had #804 at the top of the stairs, (no elevators). There is a balcony and you have access to a large kitchen on the second level, with all the amenities. The full breakfasts are excellent and there are many options and lots of fresh fruit.... More

A few years ago, I stayed in a Deluxe Room #704. My suite was perfect, except for the fact that I awoke at 6am to the sounds of my neighbours. They were talking at medium volume, but it sounded like they were right beside me. I couldn't sleep, so ended up going for breakfast (which was delicious and won me... More

Loved this B&B atmosphere. We got the suite. Old charm of Montreal. Breakfast included was an extention of all the details offered through out their Auberge. Not even a corner away of the metro. Very well situated if you don't have a car, which we didn't. But, parking was available if needed.

We went to Montreal for a Hockey Game and were looking for reasonably priced accommodation and this fit the bill as it included breakfast. We found our room was not in the main building so we had to go next door each morning. The breakfast room was about 8-10 steps from the street. Our room was also 8-10 steps from... More

My husband and I went to Montreal for a Hockey game at the Bell Centre, which was a 5 minutes walk from our room to the Bell Centre. We flew to Montreal from our home town, and got to Montreal early morning, hours before Check-in time. We decided to chance it and go to go check if our room was... More

Seriously - this place was a great find. It's walking distance to Old Montreal and the main shopping areas, the rooms are all unique and clean and they serve the best breakfast ever. Looking forward to our next stay already.

The B&B was tucked away on a leafy street but close to everything. Getting in the first night at 9 pm was tricky since the front desk was closed. But after some thought( 30 minutes later) we looked in to the mail box and found an envelope with our name and a card with a code! Finally put it together... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
