2nd stay at this wonderful B&B and still love everything about it. The rooms are gorgeous, staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are the best.I love being close to the subway to get around Montreal and near the Bell Centre is magic.

We don't like sterile uber fancy hotels so if you like the Sheraton you may want to keep going...for us bohemians this is the real thing, a bit of character, all the mod cons we need, and close to the Bell Centre for our Musical delight. I recommend spending the little extra for the suites if you can afford it... More

This is mine and my husbands favorite place to have a getaway in Montreal. It's close to the subway and close to St Catherine street. Breakfast is included and delicious! We have always been able to find parking. The rooms are large and comfortable. We look forward to our trips here!

We continue to be very pleased with our stay here - year after year! Wonderfully decorated rooms, cozy with fireplaces and tubs, and excellent breakfasts. Zen is most often there to greet us and gives great recommendations for dinner spots. Walking to everywhere is very easy or catch the Metro at end of street.

Went to Montreal to see a concert. Chose this place as it`s in walking distance to the Bell Centre. Beautiful older buildings and units are renovated and well appointed. Comfortable and cosy units with smaller shared kitchens within the building. Breakfast was delicious and a real nice extra in the price. You do have to give them a time when... More

This B&B is really great value for the cost. It was really clean and the included breakfast was hearty and tasty. Breakfast was either a waffle or French toast to start then a choice of an egg dish and as much bread and cereal as you wanted. The location is amazing. If you like to walk, it's walkable to St.... I'll admit that initially I was put off by the location as it seemed a bit jaded. But actually that's part of the charm. Inside is an arty yet homely place. The staff were lovely. Our room was fab. It's not the cheapest but definitely worth it to have somewhere peaceful and pleasant to coorie down. I'd go stay there... More

I stayed here with my husband for our wedding anniversary. It is located near the Bell Centre. The metro is a 2 minute walk. We parked our car and walked or took the metro. You can walk to Saint-Catherine for shopping in 10 minutes. We had to to change rooms for our second night as that was the only availability.... More

I stayed for 8 nights and was very happy with service in the morning by Melisa and Winetta. Alex and Zen were very helpful when needed. The room was nicely decorated and the bed is one that you didn't want to get up from. Nice to sit and enjoy the balcony on the back side of the building, if you... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
