Yes, the service is nice. The location is OK. But the room was small and it smelled musty. I paid $136 (my room was upstairs) and breakfast was not included: that was an extra $8. For that price I did have a private washroom but I have stayed at better hotels for the price of $136... The musty smell I... More

I am sorry that you were not fully satisfied on your last visit to our hotel but thank you for your comments. Our staff prides themselves and are known for our customer service and the cleanliness of our property. Your room has been entirely renovated and thus I am surprised that there appeared to be a musty smell. Of course,... More

First: YES there is a sex shop right on the corner. So what?! It's montreal! There are strip clubs within a minutes walk in either direction! Two: Stairs. It's an old building, they can't put an elevator in. Get over it. Rooms were newly renovated, clean, plenty of space, lots of towels. Only downside was the wireless Internet - we... More

I stayed a day and not longer due bedbugs. Need I say more? Bedbugs!!! Who wants to stay at a hotel with bedbugs. Who cares about the location of the Hotel when it is infested with bedbugs?!? Who cares about the "nice service"?! Beware not to take a little critter home!! Not worth the money.

We can assure you that the management and staff of Hotel Abri du Voyageur takes bedbug reports very seriously. When your concern was brought to our attention, as manager, I was contacted to view any evidence of a bed bug and you were immediately offered a suitable alternative accommodation for your stay. In addition, pest control professionals were contacted and... More

The traveler should not be deterred by the racy shop next door to the entrance. Tucked at the end of the pedestrian Ste Catherine Street, this hotel is just right. Great location for shopping, art, movies and other entertainments. Walking distance to metro stops & Old Montreal, etc.The staff was very welcoming & helpful. The room we had (2 queen... More

Thankfully that I only stayed here one night! As soon as I open my bedsheets, there were critters crawling all over! The receptionist did not care. It seems they already know the problem, but are not willing to do anything about it! Invested with bedbugs. Don't book!

As manager, I am made aware of all guest concerns or complaints and I have never been notified by the reception or housekeeping staff relative to this issue/incident. We take all complaints very seriously, certainly one of this nature but rest assured that there is no bed bug infestation in our establishment. If you were a guest in our hotel,... More

This hotel is fantastic, as far as the price goes. There are a few things that are a little strange - there are lots of odd paintings but it adds to the atmosphere. The staff has always been very friendly and you get a 10% discount when you book with them more than once. The location couldn't be better if... More

Some might be put off by this end of St. Catherine street but the location was good, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the mattresses could use some upgrading -- squeaky and very uncomfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our hotel. We have a variety of room types from budget to more boutique style rooms.
