Ideally located for practically everything in Montreal, this hotel was a gem of a find. Stayed here for four nights without any problems whatsoever. Helpful, efficient welcoming staff. Worth returning to

Went there and stayed Sunday and Monday night. The staff was amazing, helpful, friendly, and just great people! A big shout out to Alberto, who worked the breakfast Monday and Tuesday... While the area itself may not be glamorous, the hotel was clean and perfectly located within 5 minutes of everything you needed. We got a room with our own... More

Don't let the entrance to the hotel put you off - yes it is next to a sex shop but its in downtown Montreal in the Quarter des Spectacles, the arty cultural bit, not at all dodgy, at least that I could tell. The hotel itself is very reasonable and comfortable with friendly welcoming staff and it is surprisingly quiet.... More

I would not recommend this for families. As this hotel is above an adult shop that also has a window in the hotel stairway. So if you are okay to answer questions from your rightfully curious kids then this is the best hotel in all of Montreal. Now if you are a couple, I would plainly say you are crazy... More

Thank you for your review. We always try our best to market our hotel the ''right way''. Meaning, it is in the center of the city, there is a sex shop next to the hotel and there is no elevator as it;s a historic building. We really want everyone to know about this before they come. What we can control,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. Overall don't have much negatives about this hotel. If you are on a strict budget and just need a place to crash for the night, this is perfect place. Very hostel'esque. We preferred private bathrooms and thought we'll get a better class room. For $115/night + $25 parking, we could have done far better... More

I needed a little place for one night in the middle of Montreal. All hotels were ridiculously overpriced until my husband suggested this place. The room was small but all I needed was a comfortable, clean place to sleep and this hotel accommodated me beautifully! At first, I was taken a little bit aback at the small hallway of stairs... This is a small downtown hotel. The hotel was simple and clean. I booked a room including a private shower. It was still cheaper than other hotels nearby. There were some downtown street noise but not the continuous traffic noise type. hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Considering its location, price, and hotel's condition, I vote 5 star for it

I stayed at this hotel during my long weekend and honestly was not the place i was looking for but most of the hotels were sold out and it was the worst experience ever. They hold money on my credit card and than when I was trying to get this money back with the bank the manager get upset and... More

Hello, My name is Hop, I'm hotel's owner. I have just checked your folio and the payment was ok. You have chosen the non-refundable price, but we didn't charge you when you made your reservation online. At your check-in, we hold your money of your card for the security ( every hotel do the same way) and we just took... More

Great location in the center of the art district. Steps higher than a hostel but similar set up with shared bathrooms and very small spaces. Very clean and okay bfst. We stayed two days and really enjoyed our stay. The bed is very small and hard. The place is next to a sex shop but it didn't bother us and... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
