Great downtown location to everything new & Old Montreal has to offer Hotel itself is beautiful, well kept with friendly helpful staff. Good pool and spa facilities. Wifi was a little slow and an extra fee when I was there last

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Very stable and fast Internet access. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The food at the hotel was very good as well but their menu is a bit small. I stayed here for a business convention for which the hotel hosted. All of the convention halls were very nice and the food served... More

This hotel is beautiful if you like modern concrete architecture from 1967. The heated roof top pool is open all year round. The restaurant housed in the lobby area is beautiful and peaceful, but a bit expensive. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable with clean duvet covers. Allergy level was very low. The hotel has easy access to the... More

The room was OK not spectacular in any ways, the bathroom was very small. TV did not work when I arrived in my room but a quick call to the reception and someone was sent over to fix it. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

First off, arriving in the city center in the middle of the evening rush-hour made for a frustrating time trying to find the entrance to the hotel. Parking is underground and expensive ($22 per night). The spaces are small and the car park elevator does not connect with the hotel elevator. Check in was slow, with the couple in front... More

The convenience of the hotel was over shadowed by the water and plumbing problems the hotel was experiencing during my stay. First morning trying to take a shower and waiting for the hot water, instead very gross brown slime came out of the taps for approx 30 seconds and sprayed everywhere. A shower was not an option. When I brought... More

This is our second trip to the hotel. The first was almost 16 years ago! The lobby is bustling and busy. There are many conventions and events held here so if you are looking for an intimate lobby and bar it is not the place. The crowds did not bother us and we felt comfortable as a family as there... My husband and I spent Easter weekend here attending the World Irish dance competition! This hotel was formerly a Hilton and still remains a high service quality as a non- branded hotel . The hotel was built in the sixties and so gives it an interesting architecture ... It appears all guest rooms have been renovated and are nicely appointed... More

I spent Easter weekend here with my wife and two children of 10 and 12. The rooms are pretty standard hotel rooms. They were very clean, and the beds very comfortable, but I have to say that yet again, this is another hotel that fails the shower test. The water didn't have much power behind it and it collected in... More

This hotel has definite pluses but also has some minuses. Designed in the seventies, most rooms face a landscaped interior courtyard. There is no street noise whatsoever. On the plus side, it's centrally-located for business and convenient to the metro and to Central Station. Service in the lobby bar is friendly. The beds are very comfortable and there is in-room... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
