This hotel is always my choice when visiting montreal for hockey. It's walking distance to the bell centre. The staff is great, they'll even watch your dog ;) room was very clean, food was great. Never tried the rooftop pool but I hear it's awesome.

Very friendly staff who allowed us to check in early. Because it is close to the central rail station we were able to access shopping and other points of interest. Bring bathing suits as this hotel has a terrace pool that is open all year round.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel, Well maybe not so hidden but it is a very unique hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much! The heated outdoor pool is what drew us to book here. It is fabulous! We stayed in January and the pool was nice and warm. A swim in the evening under the stars... More

Beautiful property, but it's SO confusing. There's like 20 floors and tons of staircases and it's just crazy. I was staying in the hotel, and working at an event in the Expo area, and I walked about 8 miles in a day making 4-5 trips back and forth (and to the food court, etc). The rooftop garden was closed for... More

Thank you for your review of our hotel. It can be quite surprising when first arriving at the hotel to see that our lobby is at the top of the building. Our unique appearance is only one of the many charming characteristics at our hotel in Montreal. We look forward to seeing you again soon! More

Excellence across the board, very accommodating and helpful. My room was too cold so they sent a technician and also provided a space heater. Everyone speaks both English and French. The gym is great, there's a heated outdoor pool, the gardens are beautiful.

Excellent location , excellent room and lovely staff. We had a fantastic stay. Very clean and amazingly comfortable beds. Nothing too much for the staff arranged a late checkout couldn't have been more helpful. Only one wee disappointment the guy who was manning the desk for the outdoor pool and jacuzzi on Tuesday night was very grumpy made us feel... More

The room was a refrigerator the whole staying, after claiming to the Director, Maude Vien, not only she treated me like a liar but also she charged me for everything like nothing has happened. Worst service ever, worst customer service ever.

Stayed here for 4 nights. So close to everything you want to do. Hotel room was lovely. The hotel is a bit dated but the staff are nice. You can walk to the Eaton Centre underground in about 15 minutes. The outside garden area is beautiful. Loved it.

Clean, comfortable and seemingly close to everything. The laneway to the hotel is easy to miss, quick right! It's a large hotel with several bars/lounges, a pool with bar service, you can relax a bit in the heart of Montreal. The layout is oddly confusing (like a maze), the rooms are sizeable, straightforward and comfortable but slightly dated. It's great... More

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during January 2016. Pros: * very well located, near many of the downtown offices (and you can get there via the underground city, a big plus in the winter). * spacious rooms. * pleasant and hospitable staff. * the gym is fine (but not great), the heated open pool is breathtaking. * attractive... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
