My wife and I were wandering around old Montreal last night and stopped, along with several others, to listen to a wonderful guitar player playing in the window of Epik. We decided to have a drink and a bite inside. Epik is essentially a boutique hotel but also features a wonderful restaurant. We sat near the front window along with... More

The service, location and ambiance are excellent in this renovated ultra modern boutique hotel with original stone walls beautifully maintained. We were greated very warmly and our hosts were extremely helpful. A couple of very minor suggestions: glass shelving in the bathroom would be a nice addition to the drawers below the sink to place small toileteries and a small... More

This is such a great place! The rooms are furnished very tastefully, and feature some great character. The exposed stonework reminds you of your historic surroundings. The breakfast is fabulous (don't miss the croissants). And, of course, the staff is exceedingly gracious, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely love to visit again.

The entire hotel is a wonderful example of less is more. The front desk is small but wonderfully placed with a beautiful light fixture!! The bedroom we stayed in had rock walls that were beautiful and no ugly pictures - just a beautiful mirror!! The bathroom was small but exceedingly functional. We were lucky enough to meet the owner and... More

Great boutique hotel, friendly staff, and perfectly situated on a busy street in Montreal with a big picture window to view lots of carriages passing by. In the evening, the picture window provides the best seats in the hotel restaurant. Very good food! We ate there three nights and people-watched. The restaurant also has an outdoor courtyard and back dining... More

A friend and I spent two nights at this beautiful hotel, perfectly situated in the old city. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Paul, Ulrich, Marie-Hélène, Frank (the chef, who prepared us a scrumptious meal on our first night there), and Sylvio (the charming owner), thank... More

Beginning June 13 of 2014 my husband and I began a 5 night stay at the Epik Hotel. Our accommodations were very comfortable, the remodeled bathroom was luxurious, and the assistance from all hotel personal was outstanding. Whether it was assistance with baggage, a restaurant recommendation, the need of a taxi, or directions the hotel staff was so very helpful.... More

We spent 2 nights at the Les Passants du Sans Soucy on recommendation from a family member; As others have mentioned, it has been taken over by new management and now called Epik. We loved our room that overlooked Rue Saint-Paul. The room had stone walls and was very sleek and contemporary. Our room had a leather sofa in it... More

From everyone here at Epik, we thank you for such a wonderful review. We were thrilled to welcome you on such an important occasion and I'm glad to hear our team was able to make it extra special. I will let Sandra know that her version of "valet service" with the horse-drawn carriage was such a success. Take care and... More

I have stayed at Les Passants du Sans Soucy many times over the years, However, in January it was taken over by new management and renames Hotel Epik. It lacks the country feel of the previous establishment. It is now very sleek: a lot of chrome and glass leaving the place feeling rather cold in my opinion. They did modernize... More

Dear Bob, We sincerely apologize that your stay was less than perfect, especially due to such particular circumstance. How unfortunate that you won’t allow us another opportunity to showcase what we are truly about. We are rather proud of how we were able to give the property a much needed refresh while maintaining all the charm of the exposed wood... More
