We had a wonderful stay at the Auberge de La Fontaine. It was our first trip to Montreal, and we were traveling with an eight-month old baby. Make sure to mention you're traveling with babies or children, so that they can accommodate you. They were definitely ready for our stay. When we arrived we were informed that we'd been upgraded... My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights over Easter weekend. The welcome was warm and friendly, and stayed that way our entire stay. Any questions or requests were met with quick responses. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was quite good with a different egg dish each morning, lots of fruit, breads, yogurt, juices, tea, coffee........ More

One of our adult children lives in the "Plateau" in Montreal.....so we have found the perfect "home" for us in Montreal. The Auberge has very clean, ample well-decorated rooms. Great beds and linens. Breakfast=French pastries, healthy cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, eggs, toast, coffee teas, juice, etc. The staff is all bilingual and so helpful and friendly. We have stayed here... More

A family member living nearby suggested the Auberge de la Fontaine for our over night visit. We were etremely pleased with our stay and enjoyed room 21. The room was exceptionally clean, the jacuzzi was perfect and the balcony was huge and overlooked the beautiful Lafontaine park. After travelling all day it was nice to relax with jacuzzi and nice... Based on the reviews I read - I chose Auberge de la Fontaine. We were not disappointed. The room was great, private bath, hair dryer, lots of choices for breakfast, comfortable bed, extra pillows, free parking and hotel staff will tell you were you can park. There is a good restaurant on 4650 Rue de Mentena called Le BienVille -... More

I loved the Auberge de la Fontaine. The place is so clean and comfortable... the room for my daughter and me was on the 3rd floor in back, and very quiet and spacious. I used the jacuzzi tub every night, it was so wonderful. The staff was all very friendly helpful, and humored me by speaking in French with me.... More

nice cozy spot right in front of beautiful Lafontaine park in midtown montreal. Clean, confortable, very quiet, wonderful staff. Kitchenette with snacks available anytime. Superb breakfast. Free wifi. Free parking but few spots available (street parking ok however). European flair. Great choice to explore Montreal.

What a beautiful place. My wife and I arrived on the evening of January 18th 2013 after a long drive from Ontario. We were welcomed with open arms and the reservation process took just a matter of minutes. Although we do not speak French, we were easily able to speak English with our hostess who was very helpful. When we... More

This is our fourth stay over the past two years, various seasons. Always great home away from home, on the Plateau where Montrealers actually live. On the park, quiet and European style. Our first choice in Montreal.

Thanksgiving for us means coming from Boston to Montreal for our daughter's birthday...and for the second year running it also meant staying at the Auberge. In seven years of doing this, we have stayed in hotels (Hilton, Embassy Suites) and self-catering apartments (on Laval and St Dominique) and other B&Bs (Casa Bianca). All have had their positive points, but the... More
