Back in 1992, before the internet, before Trip Advisor...somehow I stumbled upon this find during my travel research preparing for my first trip to Montreal. Back then, Antoine himself was there to check you in. We were young newlyweds with a small travel budget and a fondness for European charm. This delightful Auberge provided just that. We have returned many... More

In the past, while visiting Montreal I have stayed at a Hi-Hostel and the Hilton Garden Inn. This trip I wanted I didn't want to share a room, nor pay as much as the Hilton charges, so after an on-line search, I found Auberge le Jardin d'Antoine. I was quite happy with the accommodations; as a solo traveler, I do... More

This hotel was recommended to me by a colleague and I was really pleased with the choice I made. The most important feature for me in a hotel room is guaranteed silence at night and this was provided at this hotel. The room was immaculately clean, the reception staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and with... More

Extremely helpful folks at the desk, and very nice breakfast, comfortable accommodations. I would definitely stay there again.

This was my fourth visit so I did not hesitate to bring my Colorado cousin and her husband to join us here while we showed them Montreal. We stayed in the budget rooms which were compact but comfortable. A great value for the money. We didn't need extra space since we were always out. The lighting was more than adequate... More

On a sister trip to Quebec we wanted the ambiance of a neighborhood auberge, and we quickly felt like natives at le Jardin d'Antoine. There are many dining choices on rue St.-Denis, and the location is very convenient to the Berri-UQAM metro station where you can access all of Montreal. We enjoyed exploring different parts of the city. Front desk... More

I'm surprised at some of the mediocre reviews. Our one-night stay was exceptional. We had two rooms on the main floor and both were comfortable, well-apppointed, quiet and roomy with a nice bathroom and good storage. In our room, two brick walls lent a rustic and intimate-getaway feel to the charming, courtyard-syle inner city venue. The price, including breakfast was... More

Rooms are clean, which is good. Beds not so comfortable though....and both of the windows in my room were broken! I had no choice but to use the air conditioning which I'm allergic to...I had already changed rooms once because the budget room looked so sad. Both rooms were at the end of a long hallway, much of which is... More

If you want a B&B in the Latin Quarter, this isn't a bad choice. On the plus side, the service is very good, it's affordable and near a metro. On the minus side, the rooms have seen better days, the hallways tilt because the building has settled and the beds are a bit soft. Also certain rooms are quite dark.... More

Thank you for your comments, we always take into consideration our guest opinion to improve our product year after year. It is true that some rooms (4 rooms on a total of 25) have less sunlight than others because of their location in our interior courtyard. However, we make sure that - for those 4 rooms - there are plenty... More

Auberge le Jardin d'Antoine was great. It's a great location. 10 to 15 minute walk to many restaurants. There is paid parking at the library and Metro station. They offer breakfast every morning, and staff was very helpful, even printing out directions to a pharmacy for us. No one seemed to mind that we spoke no French, and everytime we came... More
