I spent two nights at this hotel and I had a pleasant stay. We had booked a budget queen room which is located in the lower level. The room itself is good, there's plenty of space for two people with a large suitcase. The bathroom is really tiny and the shower seems stolen from a cruise boat. There is no... More

We stayed here for two nights and really liked it. It's located close to a lot of restaurants and cafes. Our room was quite small but very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good. The price was fair and if we ever go to Montreal again we'll try to stay here again.

There was nothing bad about this hotel. The room was beautiful, the location is perfect, the staff were amazing, and the morning breakfast was delicious. I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

My family stayed here one night but I would have stayed more. The room we got wasn't the most basic so it was big and had great amenities like a coffee machine. The man at the front desk was super helpful and parking was available at a library near by for $9. Not a stone throw away but cheap and... More

This hotel is charming and well located. Check in went smoothly and parking- a few blocks away -was not a problem. We did have to take our suitcase down a curved set of stairs, but that was not an issue for us, and someone did offer to take it down for us. We booked a budget room which was similar... More

Is much larger than it looks from the street. Warm greeting from all of the innkeepers. They are there to help you have a great stay. They have answers, suggestions, recommendations and a great crew. Breakfast was delicious EVERY day. Healthy choices as well as sinfully great croissants! Our room had a jetted tub. When we woke up the second... More

I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Montreal and wanted to try an Auberge. I like the fact that this place only has 25 rooms. My room was on the 1st floor and had one queen bed, one single bed, a full small bathroom with shower and bath. The floor is wood, which I like a lot compared... More

I have been looking for hotel room with spa bath (jacuzzi) for our honeymoon weekend to impress my newly wed wife. It was hard due to most of hotels do not have enough pictures to give me a sense what I'm paying for. So I have picked 'suite' room in this hotel, as at least I saw what I'm getting... More

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews here. It is on Rue St Denis between Sherbrooke and Ontario St. Close to many restaurants, bars, depanneurs and the Berri/Uqam Metro station. The hotel was once an apartment building and was converted to a hotel. Our room was nicely sized and appointed. Comfortable queen sized bed. A sitting area with sofa... More

Great location between 2 metro stations. In and amongst some decent restaurants and on a fun street, and the staff were friendly and helpful in their suggestions. The breakfast was filling, and the breakfast staff were so friendly and polite. Air conditioner worked well (it was so hot in July when we went), and the beds and pillows were comfortable... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
