Recently (July 2005) my wife and I went to Montreal for our 1st Wedding Anniversary, we descided to go with the better value hotel and have more money to spend on attractions. The Hotel Latin was great for the price, the rooms are small, well very small, but it was fine being a place we would just sleep. Being one... more

We've stayed in a lot of places in Montreal trying to save money, and this one was definitely the worst. Not so clean, bed very uncomfortable, smoke wafting in from others (although supposed to be non-smoking), cramped -I wanted to like it but couldn't. Not for the over 25 or married! I hade a neet stay for a good price. I appriciated the convinience of having a kitchenette like at home. Give it a try!! more

The studios here are perfectly adequate and reasonably priced. The location is great. However, watch out for the supercilious manager who levies an extra (and illegal!) "tax touristique" on unsuspecting anglophones. If you can deal with him (it's much easier if you speak French), it's probably worth staying. more
