For european standard is a 1 * hotel but more expensive (360 $ CAN for 4 nights). Very different from what written in the internet side this hotel is really bad except for the location. Old building, in my room no sink in the toilet, room is not cleaned every day except toilet, shower curtain is a old and broken,... More

Stayed for three days while visiting friends and was surprised by the excellent service. Very prompt in anwsering phone and even email questions. Room was modest in size. And yes as the other reviews mention, very firm mattresses, street side was a bit noisy in the morning but not too bad. WIFI was great and location can't be beat. As... More

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Other than that it's a dump, featuring dirty with broken TVs , umcomfortable beds , and a bathroom that stinks like urine. Staff was also rude and oblivious. But if you don't mind that, there are lots of great restaurants in the area. But I would stay away

I stayed on a Friday - Monday, and this hotel did just fine. It has everything you need to stay and was clean. Staff were very nice and accommodating. If you are high maintenance and demand luxury, then you need to stay in some place like that. This place has all the things you need in order to stay a... More

In general, the hotel is a dive, featuring uncomfortable mattresses and ill-maintained rooms. However the problems we experienced were well beyond that. I had reserved a 4 person room (2 double beds) a couple months in advance of our stay. One of the 4 people staying in the room is completely blind, which is not a huge deal - he... More

The room was on a third floor by stairs. The washroom is so small that you can bearly turn arround. It was sopoused to have a please to cook... it has an unpluged. microwave and they tell you you can't use it. The doors bearly close. You have a table in the room.. but only one chair. The bed is... CONS #1 NO PARKING. #2. Head Desk said "We need to pay $15.00 a person extra per room" #3. Mysterious Stains on Ceiling " People thought it was blood" #4. Over 4 days we did not have our garbage taken out, new towels or linen changed. #5. Check in was changed from 1pm to 3pm. #6. Place smelled of "WEED"... More

As soon as we got there I knew this was going to be a bad little trip. There had been some confusion over how many rooms and how many people. But of course this was our fault. Not theirs. After our lecture by the receptionist a gas station had a fire. But no worries it was far away. Far away... More

Smells not very good. Like expired air fresheners... Not great, weird furniture blocking closets, kitchenette but absolutely nothing in it except 2 fridges. ??? Bathroom is a wet room and kind of awful and too small with an incredibly noisy fan. Bed very hard, A/C hardly worked. I had realistic expectations for the price, but this place didn't meet them.... stayed here for two weeks got room 101 at first, which would have been fine except that I wanted the sofa bed that had been advertised when I booked. turns out the sofa beds are not standard in all rooms and so we had to get a twin double bed room instead as the rooms with the sofa beds were... Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
