Friend and I stayed mid July. He was on a business trip, I tagged along for fun. Easy check in, very personable, clean, helpful. No hassles. Laugh Festival going on, easy to get around from underground mall to Metro, Contempary Art Museum and etc.

We stayed here during the July jazz fest and for that it was the ultimate location. In the middle of jazz fest and close to everything else. This is a straight up business hotel. I wouldnt stay here for pleasure. MOntreal is full of amazing boutique hotels whose locations are also good. Tons of Air France flight crews stay here... More

Quick efficient check in. Standard room with two double beds - large room with plenty of space to store two large suitcases. Very clean. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning good. Ice maker located on each floor and very quiet. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool and sun bathing on the terrace when it got too hot for sight seeing. From... More

Location was really good. Property was okay, our room was really small and bathroom was also very small and odd shape vi could not see the tv from the bed, strange. Upgraded to concierge level which was not worth the money. Loved that the hotel connected to the mall. Really convenient.

Went back to Just for laugh Festival, the Hyatt is the place to be! You park and stay there. You can walk to all the activities of the Festival. Nice room , good service but pricy... price to pay to be at the right spot!

I spent four nights at this hotel which is perfectly located for all the summer festivals. My room was quite dusty and a couldn't sleep at night, the standards of cleaning improved after complaining to the house keeper. She did a good job cleanings. Hotel linen and pillows require to be changed and hotel rooms in general need improvement. Breakfast... More

Expensive and failed to mention large loud event happening by hotel with huge crowds. Poor service in many aspects. Non-responsive undermanned staff. I would not stay there again unless changes were made.

Hyatt is the BEST hotel chain. However, the Hyatt Regency Montreal is the WORST hotel in the Hyatt system and a poor-quality hotel by any standard. I have stayed there on four occasions and none have been satisfactory, but my most recent stay was truly the worst: 1) my room, specifically the bathroom, was not clean; 2) the bar is... More

Hotel is very nice and clean but don't be fooled by the pictures We took the Club one King pkg and while we were on the tenth floor with an OK view the room was very dated. It's a great location but more for business than pleasure.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
