The location is good, my room gave me a nice view of the Place d ‘Art across the street. The room is practical, yet sober by Hyatt standards. Very little support at the room, even laundry has to be handed over at the reception desk, but it adds to the tranquility in your room. The staff is helpful. The lady... More

Stayed here for both business and pleasure. The location is great. Walking distance to shopping, and Old Montreal. Nice modern rooms which are moderatley spacious. Parking to lobby erlervator is quite slow but the lobby to room elevators were great. I've stayed before and was equally pleased again. Will stays again.

I booked a room with triple occupancy for its name and location. It was right downtown and in the Winter we could go shopping through Montreal's fabulous underground. 3 of us travelled from Toronto for a girl's weekend. IWe were shocked that the carpet was dirty, coffee maker was old and smelly, sheets were torn, towel hanger at the back... More

Great location if you are visiting the city. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Walking distance to metro and place de arts. The room was clean and comfortable. Would be nice to have a little more vanity space, especially when parents and two teens are sharing the same room.

Don't Stay here. Everything is bad- from check-in to check-out. Parking is expensive and very inconvenient. Elevators are old, smelly, and unkept. Check-in check-out staff great deficient in customer service. Rooms are noisy and old. Everything was falling apart. Did not use the GYM or Swimming Pool or Restaurant. Overall horrible experience. I stayed here in 2009 and had loved... More

The Hyatt Regency Montreal is in the heart of the city. Centrally located to the mall, metro, and plaza. You are within walking distance of plenty of eateries and China Town. Everything else in the city can be reached in the city with a metro pass. I believe a weekend pass is 13 dollars. The hotel itself was ok and... More

From the moment we checked in, the experience was incredible. I have to specifically call out Claude. He checked us in and was our go to contact for our entire stay. His ability to listen and suggest restaurants (even make reservations) based on what we were looking for, and answer our countless questions about Montreal made us feel like we... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
