Groupon for $75 executive room our first night-check in was a breeze, staff was very helpful in letting us switch to a double room the next day, breakfast good at hotel restaurant-a great value and excellent service! The rooms have been recently renovated and the wifi is good.

The best shower I have ever experienced in a hotel. The Lord Berri is situated two blocks from St. Catherine Street (where everything happens in Montreal). It is medium priced and currently undergoing a facelift. A definate yes, to staying here, especially if the purpose of your trip is to party in Montreal. Affordable, comfortable and well situated.

I needed a one night stay in Downtown Montreal hotel. Once I searched for the prices on Monday, I realized that lots of hotels those days were offering huge discounts in their rooms. And Lord Berri was among those hotels. So I was not surprised when I have seen on hotels's website a very low price for room rental. I... More

We red your comments with interest and after having checked thoroughly your comments, the reservation voucher of 19.00$ per night you presented at your arrival at Hotel doesn't seem to be right. Although we have discounts in all Web sites at this time of the year, the minimum rate per night we can find is 68.00$. We do regret very... More

Came here with a coupon for a $75 stay. Room was very nice, and we were allowed to stay until 1 PM (normal check-out time is 11). The TV was small and there wasn't a lot of room to eat takeout because the "desk" is between 2 cabinet things as one whole piece of furniture. However, the bed was nice... More

Very good value base on it's location. It's close to touristy things, restaurants, market and metro. Wifi is very usable, didn't not have issue with it. However, parking fee is a little steep to me. Maybe base on its location, limited spots and indoor!

From the website it doesn't look exactly like the budget hotel it really is so I think it is a bit overpriced for what it actually is. For some reason there was a EXTREMELY strong baby powder/cleaning product smell throughout the hotel. It was almost pungent and hard to breach at times. Its location is great, really close to Berri-Uqam... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
