Our cruise line booked this hotel because we wanted to spend time in the city prior to sailing the next day. Hotel's location is excellent for bus transportation. Service was generally good, but the lobby was very busy, and it took time to line up to check in, see the concierge, ask for help using the public computers etc. The... More

Frequent this Hotel many times for business travel. It's location is outstanding with-in walking distance to the Bell Centre, numerous classic restaurants and general big city activity. It affords outstanding views of Montreal's Mt Royal or The beautiful South Shore Bridges and port area. . The valet parking , reception and lounge staff is very professional and caring.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights to see a playoff hockey game and really had a great stay. The room was very clean and modern, and the location could not be beat. Will continue to stay at this hotel in the future. My only complaint was that on the day we checked out we had a late flight so... More

Attended a business convention and the rooms were dark and the decor was dated. However the rooms were clean and the employees were very nice and helpful. When visiting make sure you go out to dine and not spend a fortune to dine on site. They're many restaurants in the area and the bellman was very helpful with helping you... More

Having been staying at the Sheraton Le Centre for over five years on business trips to Montreal. Since some of my visits are during the winter, it is essential that my hotel be near my meeting place. This hotel is across the street from my meetings. You must be careful in Montreal after their many snowstorms because they do not... More

We always chose this Hotel for every stay in Montreal. It is very clean, helpful staff, nice pool and spa and modern. The bar and restaurant is a bit on the pricey side however but you can find affordable restaurants in the area even though it is located in the middle of the action, a stroll away from the Bell... I went here for a business conference. The conference was ok but I love Montreal. The hotel is located one block from the busy and interesting Catherine Rue. It has stores, bistros and people. It is a lot of fun. The hotel itself is fantastic. Great service, Really nice rooms and a great view. It's not cheap even when you... More

Nice hotel and easy check in .The room however was tiny basically a bed desk and 5x5 bathroom in a corner. Think I saw myself when I turned around. Oh well was only there one night. A tip there are two towers going up adjacent to the hotel so late sleeping is out of the question. If peace and quiet... More

The pros - Great location. Next to transit and walking distance to downtown activities. Old montreal wasn't that far either. - Gym was open 24/7. Pool, sauna, and Jacuzzi was good also. - The cons - Paying for wifi - $15 per night. It's hard to imagine paying for wifi these days. - Rooms are paper thin. I could hear... More

I stayed there for the first time on a recent business trip. I was pleasantly surprised at how close the hotel was to all amenities. It was very beautifully furnished, clean and modern and offered a couple of different restaurants. The food was spectacular. I would return.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
