Our experience started in the fall when we booked this hotel through an airline points program. A week before our arrival I had gone to confirm the booking on the hotel's website only to find my confirmation number was not valid. After 3 calls to the hotel that day and a bit of confusion, it all did get sorted out... More

This was my first time staying at this hotel and I want to say that it was a great location. We were close to Sainte Catherine St which was ideal as we enjoyed the shopping that was close by, the pubs and restaurants, and we could walk to everything. The hotel itself was very nice, and clean. Staff were very... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with extended family. Service was very good. I was contacted ahead of my stay and received a free room upgrade and free internet without any request on my part! Only service aspect that I wasn't impressed with was the lack of availability of the concierge. They were no where to be found on two separate... More

I stayed here for a conference a few years ago, and it was a great place to stay. It provides a great facility for conferences, and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. The best part, for me though, was its proximity to everything. It was easy to walk everywhere, find great restaurants, and get to Old Montreal. Try the... More

We stayed three nights. We were in town for a hockey game. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are clean. The staff is helpful. The beds are really comfortable. The hotel is very close to the Bell Center. We asked for restaurant suggestions and found Trip Advisor more helpful than the hotel ;)

First of all, the staff is very nice. And very apologetic when they screw things up. It would just be nice if they didn't have to apologize all the time. The hotel itself was a nightmare. The walls are so thin that the conversations next door are loudly heard. And let's not even talk about having to hear the intimacies... More

Well the trip started, we were supposed to be booked in a block of rooms as our team which we were promised, promise one broke. A LIMIT OF 45 KIDS IN THE POOL?! Come on you knew we were booking with a great number of kids in our party, where was the statement stating this, Nowhere... Adding taxes on to... More

We were welcomed warmly upon going to check in! Our kingsize bedroom was compact but efficient. The bed was comfortable. I am not a lover of the attractive but very heavy duvet. My husband loved the duvet and loves heavy bedclothes in general. Le Bistro staff were welcoming and friendly through each meal. Their egg/meat/home fries/toast selection was well presented... More

I had an excellent stay at the Sheraton. I received a very friendly welcome email from one of the staff member who was also kind enough to upgrade my room and provide me with complimentary Wi-Fi. Great customer service, room was clean and has a nice modern look to it with a SUPER comfortable bed. I was put on the... More

The hotel itself is really nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the lobby is nice. The restaurant is a little pricey. $16 for 2 eggs benedict. But it looked nice. (Instead turn right out the door and walk two blocks to the Imagination cafe diner for half the price and better food) The problem is that there are... More

We appreciate your comments and there is in fact construction around the hotel and while there's certainly nothing that can be done to control the street noise, please do not hesitate to contact the front desk as if occupancy permits, we will be more than happy to offer a guestroom which is removed enough so that the street noise is... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
