Good functional hotel in Montreal. Coming as it did after a disastrous trial with Airbnb (we decided to move out immediately and this was a last minute booking), it was a welcome relief. So a clean safe environment and a good bed held much more value than it usually does. It is a good place for stay but wished the... More

Visiting Montreal often for business purposes. Usually I fly in on the Monday and leave on Thursday evening and then I spent 3 nights in Sheraton le Centre. The rooms are very convenient and the beds are awesome. Would really want to have one at home. In the morning I breakfast in the hotelbar. Yves, one of the waiters is... More

We have been waiting for our rooms in this hotel since noon. Chech in time is 3pm, now 3:40, still no rooms. We were told at 2:20 that one room was almost ready and the other was next to be cleaned. At 3:10 we were told that the rooms had not been started to be cleaned and that the cleaners... More

Please note that when we arrived at Le Centre Sheraton on Tuesday, 16 June 2015, no rooms were available for any of the six people travelling in our tour group, despite the hotel reception being presented with the vouchers our Travel Agent had provided us with. The Duty Manager, who offered no real explanation for their being overbooked, made arrangements... More

Friendly receptionist on checking in. Stayed in one of the top rooms, and was a little disappointed by the room size and feel. Bathrooms in particular felt very narrow and cramped. The upstairs members club on the top floor is worth it only for the views, with food being decidedly average, particularly breakfast service. Attendant isn't very friendly. Downstairs restaurant... Stayed here due to the Ed Media 2015 conference being held here. Very nice facilities. The lounge and Bistro Le Boulevard have beautiful street views of the city. The lounge, particularly with the tall windows, has a wonderful view of the skyscrapers and pedestrians. Our room was on the 18th floor with excellent views west. The location is central to... More

A great base for exploring Montreal on foot. 1.6 km to the Chapel and Museum of Notre Dame de Bon Secours in Old Montreal and the waterfront park on the St Laurence River, Walking back you'll pass the historic Bonsecours Market, Place Jacques Cartier. City Hall, the Notre Dame Basilica. Other easy walks from the hotel will take you to... More

The hotel is fine. I stayed on the 27th floor and the room was adequate. The aircon was too noisy to leave on at night which was a bit annoying. The fitness centre and pool was good. I didn't eat at the hotel as it was overpriced for what it was and there are a multitude of great restaurants surrounding... More

We went up to Montreal for a bachelor party, and the hotel was recommended by a friend who's been many times. It definitely was in the right spot, surrounded by a ton of restaurants, bars, and clubs. Rooms were a good size, but was a little tight with 4 guys(only double beds, and no queens). Lobby looked refreshed, and the... More

I have stayed at this property a few times, usually for business. It is an older hotel but it was refurbished a few years ago and the lobby bar area is very nice. The rooms were also updated and are comfortable and pretty representative of a Sheraton property. Since this is a renovated property, the standard rooms are not large... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
