The facility does not measure up in terms of aesthetics when compared to other hotels in the vicinity, it needs a makeover. But having said that, it is great value, clean, comfortable, great location, excellent staff and a good breakfast.

I loved this hotel. We had a one bedroom suite that was clean and very nice, it had a balcony. We arrived early which was no problem at all. The front desk had a lot going on but they are very knowledgeable and checked up in very quicky and we were in our room in no time. The penthouse has... More

We have stayed each year in July to visit the comedy festival. Really love this hotel. It's a great location and in easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The pool is fantastic, staff are lovely. Everything runs smoothly. It's a little dated and the pillows are too thin but otherwise a real jem.

We did a last minute booking and stayed here just for one night, however, this would be a great place if you wanted a few nights since there was a spacious apartment with kitchen. Beds were comfortable, pool was great and around the hotel were several restaurants. Breakfast was typical continental and appeared to be a favorite of families. Mathieu... More

I stayed at the L'Appartement Hotel, Montreal from July 15 to 18, 2015. This was about the fifth time I had stayed there. The room rates have gone up a bit but it was worth every dollar to be there. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment so there was the living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen... More

This was a last minute booking made for a stay to meet up with family. We wanted a place downtown and with a kitchenette so we could save a little on eating out and to keep any leftovers! The location is great and many of the sites/clubs/restaurants we wanted to see were within walking distance or using the huge number... More

We went of our annual trek to Montreal and again stayed at L'Apoartement Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they has rebuilt the elevators (still not perfect and still slow), enlarged the breakfast room and reopened the indoor parking on premises. The rooms are large, clean, quiet and include a small kitchen and fridge and all amenities. The... More

The reception staff were brilliant when I arrived and check in was fast and efficient. My room was well equipped. The kitchen area had a full size cooker, large fridge freezer, microwave (above eye level so a bit of a guessing game using it) pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, cooking implements, teatowels and, of course, a kitchen sink! The bathroom... More

This laid back, apartment style hotel has an amazing rooftop view of the city. You can access this area from the the pool. The rooms were very spacious and having a kitchen with available appliances was a plus. There is a gym downstairs that is well-equipped for the size of the building. Although I did order Domino's pizza almost every... More

Hotel is about 20mins walk to old town Montreal, and is right to McGill University. Front desk person was very helpful and speaks great English (big plus when you are in Quebec). Breakfast was good while relatively basic. Room is quite spacious, and EXTREMELY CLEAN. Has full kitchen, very convenient for family, Parking is either underground or across from the... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
