We loved this place. Everyone on staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was perfectly clean, comfortable size, the bed and pillows were great, hot water plentiful, great view of downtown Montreal from our balcony and the kitchenette was a bonus. We plan to return to Montreal for a longer stay (3 days was not enough) and we will... More

We liked being so close to the university AND having the efficiency kitchen, which meant we didn't have to eat out every meal. Breakfast was in a sunny room off the lobby. Will definitely stay there again.

Have stayed numerous times at this hotel. Has expanded the breakfast area recently. Unfortunately the breakfast options have not changed in last 11 years. Moved gym from roof to ground floor. Separate business area with meeting room and 2 computers for guest use. Excellent location. No A/C in the 2nd bedroom is a disappointment. A/C in the main bedroom was... More

This is a nice, not luxury, hotel on Sherbrook, which is central, and which features a modest kitchen. good wi-fi, comfortable surroundings, a balcony overlooking the city and complementary breakfast make it a decent choice. They have a free charge port for cars- which I used and appreciated where petrol is 1.25C/litre. Recommend.

This Hotel is located on Sherbrooke West which is within easy walking distance of Chinatown and Old Montreal. Clean and comfortable our room easily accommodated our family of four. The room consisted of a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living room with a pull out couch, one bedroom and a bathroom. The booking also included free WiFi and a Continental... More

A clean, comfortable home away from home, with added the amenities of friendly, helpful staff, a splendid location in walking distance of McGill University and many sights, a fully furnished kitchen, a delicious breakfast, a sparkling rooftop pool with a view, and a parking garage. The frosting on the cake? The reasonable price and the package that included tickets at... More

My husband and I spent our anniversary in Montreal and stayed at the L'Appartement Hotel a whole week. We were so impressed with the hotel we want for others to check it out. Not one single complaint from us. They treated us like family. We couldn't believe that in this day and age we would find such a jewel and... More

My partner and I stayed at L'Appartement for one week. The unit was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The building is within a few blocks of downtown and McGill University--all easy walking distances. Parking was in a garage across the street (NOTE: Parking spaces are very narrow). Although we did not use them, we did go to the rooftop where there... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
