We booked this hotel through hotwire and were expecting the worst after reading other trip advisor reviews. Like the last reviewer, our overall experience was pretty good. We had a non-smoking room and while we did not request a renovated room our room was fine. The room was quite large with a lot of empty space and the tv worked.... More

I recently took a last minute Fall vacation to Montreal. It wasn't planned, so I was doing things on somewhat of a budget. I got my hotel "blindly" on Hotwire and I was awarded the Hotel Gouverneur Place Dupuis for $88/nite. Once I got the name of the hotel, I immediately went to their website. I was impressed. I then... We got a deal to stay in Montreal in order to party a little. To our surprise, the hotel was well located right downtown Montreal close to shopping and restaurant. It was really clean even if located downtown. Good deal!!!

I booked a 3.5* hotel via Hotwire and got the Gouverneurs in Montreal on St. Hubert. I must admit that my room was clean and the hotel was quiet. The location is close the Latin Quarter (if that's of interest). That being said, I probably wouldn't return. My problem with the hotel is: - the bed was old and had... More

We recently stayed at this hotel during a family trip. I did not really know what to expect because of the mixed reviews. I can now tell you, do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel. The hotel is located in "The Village" area. It is full of homeless people. However, they did not bother us. The rooms... More

We stayed at the hotel after making a reservation on Hotwire. It was the type of reservation where one selects the price and, after paying, the name of the hotel is revealed. We paid $107, including taxes and fees. If we had paid more, it would have been a real disappointment. But, at this price, we got our money's worth.... More

Stayed here last week for three nights, booked through Hotwire. We were very happy with the quality of the room (very good for a 3.5 star), and the location is of course fantastic if you need to use public transport (it is a short 3 minuted walk indoor to all three metro lines). As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms... More

My husband and I stayed here for a business meeting. The hotel was chosen by our host, due to its ideal proximity to our club meeting location. It was also near the Metro, which was nice. This is a large hotel, 4 stars rated. We did not find the property to our expectations. The room was bare bones. Cheap coffee... More

This place is maybe 3 stars for pushing 4-star price. It gets the price it commands because of its proximity to the Village, so if that's what you want, you're golden. The Village itself is kind of a dump, so the likelihood that the owner will ever invest much in this aging property is very limited. There's no investment incentive,... More

Rooms look like straight from the early 90s .... bed covers, boxy TV, couch, bathroom.... everything looks old and gives a solid "Motel 6" feeling. On the good side: our room was pretty clean but that's about it. Otherwise it's an absolute rip-off... seriously... 4 stars? Seriously? at least the price is 4 Star... The crack-heads, hobos, drug addicts on... More
