We would definitely stay again! Quaint with character in a good location, about a 15 minute walk to Bell Center, McGill etc. Valet parking included. Lovely breakfast included. Small gym with sauna, treadmill, elliptical and weights - enough to get your burn on. Comfy king size bed in a nice room with vaulted ceilings. Loved the character and the art.... More

Upon booking this hotel, I thought it would be larger from the description. About 20 steps up and yours in the lobby. It's cute, small. Checked in and another 3 flights of stairs. I should of thought about that when unloading all the heavy camera gear, up and down the stairs. The room, it was warm. It was small. I... More

The hotel sits on Sherbrooke Street just steps from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and high-end shops such as Holt Renfrew; a metro station is two blocks away We received complimentary parking, continental breakfast and afternoon tea... So much for so little, Just a mere $120.00 plus tax is all we paid for this 4 star hotel Our room... More

The rooms at the Chateau Versailles are a bit faded, but they are clean and comfortable. The staff is lovely. And I very much enjoyed the breakfast room, which served decent -- albeit a bit boring -- fare of hard-boiled eggs, cold cuts, bagels & cream cheese, juices, yoghurts, and fruit, as well as coffee and tea. My room was... More

A friend had recommended this hotel after the noisy stay we had had at the Sheraton last year. Andre scurried our bags up to our room on the second floor. We, too, had an fire escape view, but I wasn't there to admire the view. This room was large but the bathroom was tiny. I found it a tad difficult... More

If you would rather have something interesting rather than upscale modern this is just the place. I loved it. (My husband would have hated it.) No elevators, I was on 4th floor. No problem except on arrival when luggage did not arrive from airport until 4 AM. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was nice, nothing hot but coffee was very... More

The hotel is right downtown on elegant Sherbrook Street. This residence is steeped in Montreal history, and is actually a very large distinguished home. The staff are extremely hospitable and helpful. Breakfast offers a good selection for an informal buffet, with excellent coffee. Although there is no elevator, the staff are very helpful in carrying luggage to any of the... More

Two nights in Montreal stopping in Chateau Versailles. Old fashion hotel, very comfortable bedroom if a little small (to be expected in a building of this age). Little to complain about. Coffee facilities in room best we've ever had but, and this was not made clear, additional coffee pods were charged at $C2 each. Complimentary continental breakfast, unexpected, was excellent... The hotel is beautiful, as long as you like heritage-style. We booked off Hotwire and were pleased to receive a free upgrade for our honeymoon, to a beautiful room with a fireplace and a king-sized bed. It is a quirky little hotel, and it would be an interesting place to hear some history about. Staff are friendly and helpful, and... More

If the hotel is claiming to have 4 stars as the Swiss reviewer suggests, then I agree it definitely doesn't equate to 4 stars in Europe. But it did us fine for a cheapish and cheerful one night stay. The staff were welcoming, the room was very spacious, the bed comfortable and I loved the toiletries. Breakfast had a limited... More
