This is an attractive looking hotel (exterior) that is closely situated to Concordia/McGill Universities and Mt. Royal. It does not have the amenities of a major hotel chain (e.g., pool/restaurants/bar), but it is also has more charm. On the downside, the hotel interior definitely needs various upgrades. For instance, sound proofing would help to cut down on exterior and, especially,... More

Stayed here during the Grand Prix Weekend, pretty much because it was the only choice. HRT team stayed at the same hotel so it was a good choice. Pretty much average in most parts, it suited me fine but I rather find some hotel in Old Montreal for my next visit. More

Thank you for your recent comments on your past stay with us. A little bit of feedback is that we have upgraded since last summer. We added some new features to our rooms, and even though we are a little bit of a distance from old montreal. being located on Sherbrooke street you can also now visit the New section... More

I had initially booked a four night stay at the hotel as it was close to the locations required for my stay. My Mother was a patient at st. Mary's Hospital a ten minute drive and twenty minute bus drive. Unfortunately my mother took a turn for the worst and my four day stay turned into a two week stay.... More

We stayed here recently for 4 nights, taking advantage of the spring special. Great location, walking distance to many places - including downtown, the contemporary art museum, the old city and Mt Royal. Only downside - really thin wall in bathroom, so you can hear noise from the other room More

Second trip to this hotel, as clean and comfortable as the first time. Larger room for this visit, with a work desk - along with free Wifi, practical for a day of work. More

The staff are excellent and the location is very convenient. There are no elevators, so you climb, with your bags up steep stairs. The bedding in the room is very tired, the covers and blankets look very old. Breakfast is very good. The owners need to invest in upgrading the bedding and the sagging mattresses. More

Chateau Versailles is boutique hotel on fashionable Sherbrooke Street in Montreal. The hotel is pleasant if you are indifferent to : walking up a steep flight of stairs (possibly with luggage) to enter the main door and walk up flights of staris to get to your room. very small rooms without desks or easy access to wall outlets (not for... We are enjoying our stay at Chateau Versailles but have to say we were a bit under-whelmed after reading the website. Our room is nice, but not luxury by any means. The carpet has a frayed hole a few feet from the door. Bathroom is very small. Pillow top beds are very nice and staff is friendly. Afternoon tea is... More

My husband and I stayed at Chateau Versailles for 4 nights in February 2012. We got a great deal (through the hotel) and only paid $89 a night + taxes. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was newly renovated. The hotel is located in the Golden Square Mile area, and is just a few blocks from Crescent... More

Staying in a hotel by oneself for a week makes the quality of the accommodation important. Also, the many hours working in the evening makes one appreciate a decent wireless connection and access to quick, but decent meals. The Chateau Versailles offers decent-sized rooms, good temperature control (very important when temperatures range between 3C and -25C), quality breakfast, and a... More
