We stayed here for two days. From the hotel you can walk to the park or to downtime, you will need ca. 40 minutes. Very close is the Metro, so you will be very flexible to go to your points of interests. It is a small hotel with a special historically charm. We had a two bed room with enough... More

I've stayed at hotels which were shabby cheque, this hotel is just shabby. Paint chipped on walls. No air conditioning, I guess it never gets stuffy in August. No vent fan in the bath. I suggest shaving before you shower. Very noisy, enjoyed the couple next to my room. Can't beat the view though.

We stayed three nights and had a good experience, but maybe better to think of it as staying a big, charming, old house to adjust your expectations. We were in a standard room and the room was small but it was comfortable - there was a chair, nightstands, tv table and closet to stash your things but there wasn't any... More

great boutique hotel, lovely continental plus breakfast, very artsy area and hotel is well appointed, rooms are small but comfortable, no lift, but staff are very helpful! the hotel is also just a few blocks away from the "mountain" which has wonderful nature trails and hikes right in the middle of the city

Terrible night in room 421! The air condition made every 10 minutes lots of vibrations and noise so that a quite smooth sleep was not possible. Even the bed was vibrating! In addition to that the noise insulation of the windows are also improvable. Sherebrook street is noisy! Terrible night after a nightflight from Germany to Montreal... 2 nights with... More

Stayed 3 nights whilst touring (3 nights in Montreal was probably too long) and this fitted requirements; clean, tidy, location, reasonable price. The hotel is older than some - note there is no lift - and will probably need redec before too much longer but OK now. Breakfast room is a bit cramped and we had to eat off our... More

This is a boutique hotel . We had two rooms booked , a double room and a room with two queen beds , however on arrival the one with the two queen beds was not available for us. Eventually we had to take two double rooms with one room having a futon. This was unexpected. This hotel is built basically... More

I love this place! It is so cute, comfortable and elegant. The front desk workers are great and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and the rooms are large and comfortable. You also get free wifi which is very helpful. The location is prime for walking to the major attractions and the price is right.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
