I really like his Hotel, it may be an older building, but its clean and the beds are really comfortable, the restaurant is amazing, the valets are all so sweet, if Elizabeth checks you out in the am, and if the restaurant is not open she will be sweet enough to make you a coffee in the kitchen. Always treated... More

Its a great hotel as it has a very reasonable price in a very good location compared to all hotels nearby The rooms look old, but no complain for me as the staffs keep the room clean, lift and gym always smells nice and clean. And the reception and concierege always very welcoming whenever I'm back in hotel You can... More

This hotel IS located very close to many downtown places and the subway line. The room was clean, etc., and everything I've come to expect from a chain hotel (which is why I chose it). But. Checkout is at noon, and they inexplicably shut our water off early that morning, so when we woke up- no water! When we called,... More

We had a great experience with the concierge staff at this hotel. Mike was great to work with and helped us get great seats to a Habs game at a great price. I had to book with him from New Brunswick and he made it an easy process and was very professional. He was a great help with other things... More

We stayed here as part of a visit to McGill. The location was great. Close to the school and the downtown area. We even walked to Old Montreal in less than 30 minutes. Staff is friendly. The bar and cafe are convenient and provide the necessary coffee in the morning and a nightcap before retiring to the room. This is... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel in February and found the were staff exceptional and helpful. Mike the valet was very good guiding us and ensuring that we were dressed correctly for the extreme cold weather (mad but we loved it from Australia) Peter from the front desk was also helpful. It was very clean and all other... More

We arrived on one of the coldest days this year in Montreal. We were going to a Canadiens game that evening. The valet parking guys were very quick and attentive to get you into the hotel as quick as possible. Mike and Abraham (valet guys) very informative of where to go and what to do. We had a great discussion... More

I recently went to Montreal to audition for McGill's music program and for the sake of convenience, I decided to go with Best Western Ville Marie. Thinking I'd only be there for one night, I didn't specifically have much expectation. However, on the contrary. This hotel is situated directly downtown Montreal, right next to the University campus itself! The location... More

We were treated like royalty upon arrival Feb 27th and leaving Mar 1st ! Front desk was very informative, co-operative, trustworthy and engaging. The hotel concierge Brahim was extremely helpful in giving us directions and map info on getting to Old Montreal and Schwartz's Smoked Meats. Our weekend was made that much better because of the quality staff and services... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
