We got there around 11pm. The guy from the reception told us they have no parking spots available and the we should find parking down the street (they advertise themselves like having parking). Looks like the receptionist was the only person working in the hotel, we had a lot of luggage and there was nobody to help. They gave us... More

Visited with my 8 and 9 year old Wednesday thru Saturday from Hamilton, a 5-6 hour drive depending on traffic. if it weren't for the special rate I got through a booking site @ $65/night for my dates, I might of kept looking.... First the good: - great location---near the downtown core, 20min walk to the Bell Centre, great restaurants,... More

We stayed here for a night before going to the airport the following day. It's a very low key hotel, but clean. It's no frills, but it has what you need, including a kitchen! This hotel I believe used to be apartments. The hotel is actually conveniently located between two métro stations: Atwater and Guy-Concordia. Atwater is closer of the... More

I'm a Floridian who visited family in the Toronto area and wanted to take our relatives to Montréal for the weekend. We didn't have a plan for the weekend of what to do and where to stay so we drove around the downtown area for an hour before we found this hotel. The hotel provided us with a kitchenette, free... La Tour Belvedere was a good, inexpensive place to stay, within walking distance of Metro and Old Montreal. The room was clean although it was showing its age. We noticed that some rooms were updated, so I guess they are in the process. Front desk staff was sporadically helpful and friendly. Some of them did not seem to have much... More

This hotel is well located and has a good kitchen for who wants to stay next to attractions with a medium price. There are other options without a kitchen, but more comfortable for the same price. The kitchen and the bedroom have doors to separate the ambiences.

Just wanted to send a big thank you to Stephen right up front. So kind, helpful and super efficient. Everyone at reception has been friendly and helpful the two times we've been there. There are a lot of great things to love about this place if you aren't picky..plus it's super close to Concordia's downtown hub. We loved the nice... More

Really liked the small apartment style of these apartments-they're dated but they're clean and well maintained. Rooms are made up daily with toiletries and coffee replenished. Having a little kitchen is handy as it means you don't have to eat out all the time. WiFi is $5 a day and patchy at best but sufficient for our needs. There was... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
