I stayed in room 1801 with my wife and daughter. The positives: The room rate was very reasonable and the hotel is conveniently situated 2 blocks from the Atwater Metro. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Now the negatives. We are arrived and were given the wrong room, one with one double bed instead of... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had no funky smells. Some people reviewed that it was run down. Our group was on the 19th and 21st floors and we have no complaints. Keep in mind it's and older building that used to be apartments, so it doesn't have the polish a high end... More

We arrived at the hotel for our 6 night stay and checked in with the friendly front desk staff. Although they were nice and all, when I asked for a good breakfast place (I mentioned I wanted a reasonably price place with small quantities of food) She directed us to a local restaurant which is expensive but you get a... great hotel, nice clean and roomy, with a kitchen, oven, fridge freezer, toaster, plates pots pans ect i liked this hotel as we could make our own breakfast with out rushing out, nice cuppa with toast, also at night to relax and have a beer or cuppa after a nice day out. nice central location, and very nice staff on... As stated in previous reviews, it is more than a little tired, it is rundown. Not conveniently located unless you have a specific reason to be in the neighborhood. The private balconies have no chairs or really any purpose except to smoke. As for the internet, you would think if they charge for it, it would work. It doesn't. Stays... More

We stayed here for a girl's trip expecting an average hotel. The hotel was farther away than anticipated to access food and shopping, but that was to our fault not the hotel. The room was spacious although smelled musty and had a very small bathroom. Essentially you get what you pay for. I wouldn't spend more than $150 on a... More

In my room was a bed and a sofa, so about 3 people can sleep. Clean and safe. I got a full furnished kitchen with oven, microwave and refrigerator, even some plated and cups were on the shelf. The most great thing is indoor pool, fitness place and scenic roof), but be ready to pay for the wi-fi ($5 per... More

Having stayed at this hotel on more than one occasion, I have nothing but praise for the staff, facilities, location and price etc. Rooms are clean. spacious, staff polite and helpful and the price is always fantastic. Close by to Atwater Metro station or you can walk to the downtown area within around 20 minutes. Would stay here again!

Very happy with our stay here - its not the biggest or the fanciest, but it met all our needs. Staff were very friendly and helpful - every interaction was met with a smile. So close to the Metro! Made it easy to take the train or buses anywhere, and lots of facilities close by. Building is definitely getting old... More

Well located, very close to Metro station, malls, currency exchange. The room was ok (needing an update), but the front desk was awful. They didn't know how to win the client. Very strange from what I have seen in other places in Canada. Breakfast, wi-fi and parking not included.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
