Spent a weekend at this lovely hotel. Walking distance to almost everything downtown. It is clean and modern. No parking on site, though, and quite expensive for nearby parking ($25/day).The kitchenette in the suite in pretty well stocked for most groceries you may want to have on hand. Daily room service however our cups and glasses were left dirty in... More

This is a quite nice hotel, in a terrific location. Right off St. Catherine Street, and within easy walking distance to Mont Royal, just a few steps from the Peel Metro station. The quality of accommodation you would expect from a Residence Inn. Very good breakfast, helpful and courteous staff. But one big caveat. The hotel itself has no parking.... More

Looks like it was recently renovated. Rooms were clean, good beds! Some rooms are a little small, but overall this was one of the better Residence Inns we have stayed in. Great location, right next to subway and easy walk to many attractions and restaurants.

I was in Montreal for business and chose this location based on the hotels location within downtown Montreal and it turned out to be great! Close to the financial area and as well there was dining and entertainment options within walking distance in every direction. Pros Friendly and efficient staff. Great location. Modern and appears to be recently renovated. Breakfast... More

Thank you very much for your review, your comments are greatly appreciated. In regards to the comment about the mattress, all of our mattresses are brand new, they were bought this year and are the Marriott standard. This is a Marriott mattress that was chosen after a survey on the preference of most of their clientele. Like all Residence Inn... More

This is our 2nd stay in this hotel,..and first time after its recent renovation. Quite the reno !! Much improved lobby, reception area. We were welcomed professionally by the front desk team. The elevators...only 3 of them,..are small/tight with four people with luggage, but you manage. We had 2 queen/full size beds and sofabed..and the room was definitely renovated/upgraded from... Nice hotel; Disappointed by store for amenities to use in kitchen as there is no groceries nearby. Made the kitchen rather useless; Coffee pot in room broken -- immediately replaced; Used the couch bed and it was not really comfortable and did not have enough bedding; Staff were friendly, helpful; Parking was confusing to get to; Unavailable in the parking... Thank you for your review. As the hotel can’t accommodate our guests with parking directly at the hotel, we have made arrangements with the building next to us. It is only a couple of meters away from the hotel. We picked the most convenient and closes parking garage to the hotel. You do have in and out privileges (with the... More

This hotel is simple, well-laid out, and I really enjoyed my stay here. I was in Montreal on my own for a week, and it was a real treat being able to cook in the kitchenette rather than eating out for every meal. I also got plenty of work done in the room, thanks to the good, fast, wifi and... More

We spent a long weekend in Montreal and wanted a hotel that was close to most of the places that we wanted to visit. We chose to stay at the Residence Inn in downtown Montreal because we read that the hotel was recently renovated. We were pleased with our choice because the location was ideal for what we wanted to... More

My husband and I spent the weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was nice and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. My only criticism is the location. It's great if you want to be close to McGill (which we did), but it was a pretty long walk to the old city and some of the main streets. We... More

Clean, quiet, convenient. Walking distance to plenty of attractions. Metro and bus routes were just around the corner. Staffs were super friendly. Discounted tickets to LaRonde right at the front desk.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
