Our room was on 22nd floor so we had very nice view. The room was good, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was super claustrophobic. I like that there is a full equipped kitchen which can come handy when staying for extended period of time. The elevators were kind of dingy looking and were super slow. The hotel is in... More

Dear Katerina L, thank you very much for your review. Our hotel is located in the heart of downtown Montreal. Restaurants and shopping centers are all conveniently located nearby. Our kitchens are always added bonus especially when they are all equipped with pot & pans, cutlery, dishes etc. More

I liked the location and the room. Even though I felt the room was a little cramped. Service was good. What was bad about the stay is that the alarm went off at 1:30 in the morning for about five minutes and then again at 6:00 am. Later that evening the elevators stopped working. I had to walk down 22... More

Dear RichardP21, we always appreciate comments and feedback from guests staying with us. We are sorry for the inconvenience the two fire alarms may have caused you. We would like to assure you this was an isolated incident. We reopened the hotel in February after extensive renovation and it was the first time since that a guest set a general... More

The Residence Inn Montreal Downtown is close (as in 4 blocks) to McGill University and Mont Royal while being close enough to old Montreal, Bell Centre and pretty much the rest of the downtown sights in an easy 10 - 20 minute walk. The nearest Metro stop, Peel, is a half block away and the hotel is on Rue Peel... More

Dear Tcook052, your comments are greatly appreciated. As you mentioned, the hotel is located in the heart of Downtown Montreal. We are centrally located to many attractions, sightseeing areas, restaurants and so much more. Everything can be easily done by walking but there is also the option of taking the subway. Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
