This was the shortest hotel stay I ever had but the process was so professional and easy I would definitely stay here again. The Night guy was very professional - and initially had us in a queen bed - but noticed that we made a face when he mentioned it - and quickly gave us a King Bed for our... More

The location of the hotel was perfect - right in downtown area. It is very close to shopping and entertainment district. The staff didn't stand out at all of the extraordinary except for Richard (the one who was working over night) . Richard was really nice and help my colleague and I get a late check out since we had... More

This Marriott is fantastic! Great location - walking distance to everything in downtown Montréal. Beautiful hotel, well-maintained, clean, and fantastic and friendly staff. It's like a home away from home. Very comfortable beds, and plenty of space. BUT(!!) I have to deduct two stars for the parking. If you drive a tall SUV (anything higher than 5'10"), you cannot park... More

I always stay at the downtown Marriott Residence Inn when in Montreal and would especially recommend this hotel for anyone staying on extended business trips. Although there are more luxurious Marriott hotels in the city I prefer to stay at the Residence Inn as the location is ideal, there is a small kitchen sufficient for light cooking and there is... This is a very well located hotel, close to shopping, muesems and great restaurants. We were in town for a concert at the Bell Centre and is was an easy walk to the venue. The rooms needed some refreshing but I beleive they have undergone reservations since we stayed so that has likley been taken care of. Make sure to... More

I stayed here with my family in July 2013 for 5 days. Complimentary breakfast everyday was pretty good with great selection. Hotel was in walking distance to shopping and all :) Rooms were average but nice. Great service. Low wifi service. There is no pool, which the kids didn't like but they got over it. We enjoyed watching fireworks from... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
