Ruby Foos is a very comfortable hotel with convenient parking. We drove to Montreal from Quebec City and although the exterior looks like an upgraded motel property inside is a 4 star hotel. The room was very clean, had an attractive oriental design and modern electronics. Although not the most central location it was convenient to major highways. The restaurant... More

While my husband is an ex-Montrealer, and remembered the days of Ruby Foo's as hotel AND restaurant, we stayed there for a week. Had we known there were rooms with kitchen facilities (found out after the fact), we would have booked a room in that part. We will be returning to Montreal, an will stay there again, but will book... More

My wife and I take two different types of trips, each with its own requirements. For a relaxing vacation (beach or mountains), we look for a 5-Star resort property, and want to be spoiled. For a sightseeing vacation (such as the one we took to Canada), we look for a reasonably priced, very quiet, very clean property that is well... More

We had an enjoyable four nights stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the daily service was good. This hotel was recommended to us and it lived up to our expectations. It offered secured free parking and was a five minute walk to the subway. From a tourist perspective, with a rental car, it was ideal place to base... More

Renovated and much more modern than years gone by, the rooms are comfy and well appointed. Shower: Hand-held and it's a full tub, not a stall or booth. Bed: Comfortable. Lighting: sufficient Wifi... seems to require constant "logging on"... so a tad annoying. In-room coffee maker: The coffee "pot" has a Teflon type interior.. not glass. Mine provides a not-too-tempting... More

We had a function nearby and stayed here with the rest of the group. I cannot complain about the bed or even the room size and decor. But........... the air conditioning system is one of those older style hotel wall airconditioners (like a built in window air-conditioner) and all night long, the fan and compressor is switching off and on... We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for our family of 5. The outside of the hotel does not look appealing, the pool was not open and did not look well maintained. Rooms are not all that impressive, overpriced for what the had to offer, breakfast was expensive. Staff was mostly friendly. The last morning the alarm went off at... More

We stayed four nights in August 2014 and were very pleased with our choice of hotel. Montreal is a very busy city in the summer and several international events were taking place. Room prices, in general, are not inexpensive in Montreal. We found Ruby Foo's prices very reasonable, and we felt the quality of the hotel was high. The hotel... More

We stayed at Ruby Foo's for five nights. We chose the location because this hotel is closer to relatives. The room was modern, comfortable and quiet. We usually have trouble sleeping in a hotel due to being in strange beds. This was not a problem here. The beds were super comfortable. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The restaurant... Booked here because it was close to our daughter's wedding location. Service is adequate, surroundings fine. Room was "fine"- very clean, nice linens- had to laugh at the brochure where they offer to sell you their bed linens...hotel did not have a luxury feel...they tried hard to create something when they made it over but it doesn't warrant the prices...
