We stayed for a week and found Suite 2 to be very comfortable with a good bed and bathroom as well as room to prepare a meal and sit at the table. Location is excellent with 2 blocks to the nearest subway and a 5-10 minute ride to anywhere in town. We also walked to a number of places. Several... More

We stayed at this apartment for a week and it was perfect! Excellent location, super quiet but close to Metro, convenience stores and trendy Mont-Royal cafés, restaurants and shopping. Apartment is spacious, with contemporary and functional design. Very comfy bed with different weights of blankets (it was fall when we were here so not very cold, also had air conditioning... More

What a wonderful place to stay! Luke was very welcoming and helpful. Location was ideal for my research at the Montreal archives and library. I could walk or take the Metro everywhere and so easily! Parking was not a problem, only one move required for the whole week I was there. It was quiet, yet close to shops and restaurants.... More

My husband, my 8 year old daughter and me just spent a couple of nights here in suite #2 (the larger of the two suites). Luke was very accomodating and had lots of tips about his favourite spots in the neighbourhood. The location is just perfect -- close to the metro, lots of great shops, cafes and restaurants. The suite... More

My husband and I loved our little apartment. Exquisitely located with easy access to the metro, restaurants and other sites of Montreal. Impeccably clean and well-equipped. Although Luke was away while we were there, he was very accommodating prior to our arrival. Louise, his stand-in was helpful as well. Our only mishap was a parking ticket which we probably could... My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend in Montreal and could not have been happier with our stay at the Plateau Suites. From our first contact over email until the morning we left, Luke was warm and accommodating. We stayed in Suite #1, which was absolutely lovely. Tons of natural light, a balcony, comfortable bed, a clean and beautifully... More

We would happily recommend the Plateau Suites for your stay in Montreal. My husband and I visited Montreal July 5, 6, & 7th, 2013. When we arrived at the Plateau suites, Luke the owner genuinely introduced himself and showed us where to park on the street which was free, close by and safe. The location of the suite is very... We came in very late at night and there was a parking spot right in front of the house. We parked the car and did not move it till we left. Luke, the owner, lives downstairs - he showed us the place, how the key worked, and explained where to find the metro, a grocery store and restaurants. We stayed... More

I was looking for something quiet, affordable and in a residential neighborhood. I found Plateau Suites and am SO HAPPY I did. The accomodations were superb. I stayed in Ste. #1, which was fine for my needs. The location was ideal, the Metro was literally a block away, and the location was just far enough off of the main street... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
