If you like decorative features based on white orchids and Asian pears, then perhaps this hotel will please you. We found the room a bit small and the reception staff remote and unsmiling. Most annoying was a block on the air conditioning preventing us from turning the temperature below 20 C at night, and the stale air flow rushing over... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with the trip advisor community. We’re very sorry to hear about your less than enjoyable stay with us. My apologies about the air conditioning in your room, did you happen to call reception about this issue? When this happens we are more than happy to send up someone from maintenance to fix... More

We came to the hotel for Victoria Day long weekend. I was very disappointed with a quality of service that i got from reception staff. The procedure of check in took about twenty minutes, we had to wait for two and a half hours until the room was cleaned. Every time i was talking to the reception they couldn't even... More

Great nice little hotel, I've stayed here before on business trips to Montreal and I've never been disappointed. Great location, good restaurants in the area. You can't go wrong choosing this hotel over other much more expensive options. Staff is OK but rooms are great, and I've never seen a better looking scramble eggs and bacon plate, they really take... We stayed at the Le St-Martin Hotel for four nights the end of April. The room was large and clean. It was very nicely decorated with free wifi. We were on the 15th floor with a building/street view. We didn't use the pool because it was too cold but it was nice. The lobby is small but very nice! The... More

My boyfriend and I visited Montreal for the first time April 2013. I had totally no idea where's the best place to stay. We stayed for a few days at my friend's apartment but we wanted to have a place to ourselves for a couple of days. I discovered Le St-Martin through a Groupon deal. I found reviews here in... More

....it's Montreal. This is a term you'll here a few times a day. This is a first class hotel in a bustling part of downtown. The Peek-A-Boo bathroom blinds can actually properly block the bather from the other occupants. The Bi-Lingual Staff was excellent.

We arrived on a Wednesday as we had business on the Thursday. The rest of the weekend was ours. From the moment we arrived, the bellmen, the front desk associates and the staff were over the top. I stayed at this hotel this weekend for one night and it was a great experience!! The rooms are very large and spacious, extremely clean and the beds are super comfortable. The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Montreal with Peel metro right across the street, and the Old Port just a 5-7 min taxi ride away. The big soaker... More

I stayed here for 3 nights while attending a conference. The service was very good and the hotel is in a great location. The rooms are very comfortable and I loved my fireplace! Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
