Our vacation at Le St-Martin Hotel Particulier was fabulous. The hotel staff are all friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. Love the décor. Towels and sheets are luxurious - very high end. The restaurant, Bistro L'Aromate, is amazing - we had dinner and breakfast here. This is our second time staying here. We brought friends and they loved it too. They... More

A perfectly fine hotel, with good service and a very pleasant staff. There is a HUGE construction project going on next door that will be going on of at least another year. This made for some loud mornings. I'd suggest earplugs or a white noise machine. With that, perhaps an eye mask ... The blinds don't shut completely and the... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for the kind review following your recent visit. Our verierre rooms are quite gorgeous, however if you are a light sleeper this is not the room for you because of how bright it gets in the morning. Our soaker tubs are also a big hit with our guests, we`re glad you took the opportunity to use... More

I was there this weekend with my boyfriend. He is a native to Laval, but not very familiar with downtown Montreal so he left it to me to pick a place to stay. I could not have been happier. We were there for a week (Sunday to Sunday). We booked the Romance It Up! Package and the rose petals and... More

Stayed in this hotel for a work trip which we extended for a few days to take in the sights of Montreal. Beautiful hotel - we stayed in one of the Verriere suites which has fabulous with windows right across the front of the room. The room was beautiful and the bed huge and comfortable. Our room was quiet, we... More

Beautiful room with deluxe bedding. Clean room and bathrooms. Very quiet in rooms at night. Unique outdoor pool: perhaps create an area for food and drinks. Good food at Bistro. Excellent front desk, porter, car and restaurant service.

I was unsure about a hotel in downtown instead of the old city but it turned out to be a great choice. Two blocks from train station and excellent reception staff ready with maps and helpful hits. Room better than star rating. Well worth exploring underground networks of shops. Disappointed in old city with so much roadwork and construction going... More

Dear Claire Thank you for sharing your kind review following your visit. We are happy to read that you decided to stay downtown Montreal instead of old Montreal for this past visit. Montreal tends to have 2 season, construction season and winter, making all the summers months quite noisy in the city. We`re glad there was no construction noise ruining... More

My husband and I came here for our babymoon (last trip before our baby arrives!) at the end of April. We arrived by taking the 747 bus from the airport, which saved us at least $20+ dollars versus taking a cab (costs about $40 not including tip), the bus dropped us off only two blocks from the hotel. I would... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, and then for another 2, the following week. There is absolutely nothing not to like. Beautiful rooms, luxurious beds and bedding, friendly and accommodating staff, at a reasonable price. Not sure about the restaurant as we only had breakfast once. Okay, maybe that could have been better, as that seemed a bit... More

I visited here in June 2013, and this hotel is very fancy, modern and luxurious. The rooms were very comfy, and the pool area was very pretty with a waterfall going into the pool. Staff were very friendly, and always greeted you with "Bonjour, hello." I give this hotel a 9 out of 10.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
