It is a great option, mostly for spanish speakers. It is clean, quiet and confortable. The internet is good enough for all your needs. It is gay friendly, wich is important nowdays. Finaly, good location in downtown.

Stayed here with my boyfriend and loved it. We stayed here for 4 days and the room was clean and comfortable. Ambience was great - the owner was very nice and friendly, the breakfast was fresh and just right for two people on the go. He also gave us recommendations to eat in the area and things to see. Definitely... More

We stayed here for a weekend, for the price it was great, I don't know what some people are complaining about, the rooms were nice and clean and when ever we needed something we just called and people that work there were very friendly about it, would for sure stay here again

I have stayed at the hotel for 5 days and the owners were very welcoming and helping with anything I needed! The hotel is clean, comfortable and is perfectly located near the metro station and the central bus station. Many bars restaurants and sites in a walking distance. I will go back there again for sure.

Unfortunately, nothing about this hotel was satisfactory other than the fact that it was close to the subway station. The hotel manager was rude and informal(does not speak french, and speaks very poor english), there was one hot water on one of the two nights we stayed there, the television was not working (which is apparently an often occurrence), we... This hotel is centrally located and I found it clean and tidy although there was no housekeeping during my stay even though it was mentioned that it was daily. The worst part was that I was unable to contact the hotel in advance by e-mail or phone to ask whether I should even attempt to visit the hotel if I... More

Clean....but cable and internet wasn't working the whole time we were there on a weekend.....Would of been nice to have one or the other in the evening before lights out....no soap for the shower but there is hand soap. There is no heaters but a plug in heater in the room but the room was warm. Very old and poor... More

Not too bad. Clean, close to the subway, affordable. We had the 2bdrm apartment. Could deffinately use some fixing up and general maintenance, but overall not bad. Owners are never at the desk and door is always locked, so don't expect great service. I'd stay again.

The Hotel charge a cancellation fee, which I accepted the time of booking. I had to cancel my booking and waited for a refund minus fee. But be informed they refund nothing. I cannot write about the Hotel itself. My 1 Point is just for the refuse to refund, though there were many reminders of booking.com to the hotel.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2014

We stayed here in October 2014. We did not have a chance to read any reviews beforehand; we booked on the fly as we were driving into Montreal. The room we booked was defined as "large". The double bed almost touched each wall but was very comfortable. The room came with a small round bistro table and two chairs. The... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
