From the moment we arrived our hosts Dominic & Mario welcomed us into their home like we were old friends. Suite 6 was our home for 7 nights. The suite was meticulously clean with daily housekeeping. The king size beg was super comfortable with the softest and cosiest sheets I have ever slept on !! We used the private outdoor... More

The room was large and spacious. The bed was most comfortable and the linens were clean and fresh. Every amenity I can think of was provided by our hosts. The breakfasts were of 5-star quality - based on variety, taste, presentation and superb service this was what I liked most. Finally, the location could not be better - very close... More

Dear Dominic, Mario and Gaia Many thanks again for a great stay and looking after me so well. I feel so pampered with your attention and wonderful breakfasts. You're attention to the details of the room everyday and laundry and personal smiles made my stay in Montreal so memorable! I'll definitely come back and stay with you in the future!... More

Montreal was made even more magnificent from our stay at Aubergell. Our hosts not only created a beautiful setting in the comfort of the room, the terrace, dining room and balcony, but we began each of our seven days with a wonderful breakfast accented with flowers and herbs grown there on the property! Dominic and Mario, thank you for making... More

When you book a B&B online, you have a bit of a surprise waiting at the other end. In our case, arriving at the Aubergell was a happy delight! We could not have stayed in a better location - we were in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go in Montreal. Our room was a little tight for mother... More

Aubergell B&B is not only the perfect location to the gay district but also to old Montreal, the Metro, great parks and the city centre. The B&B is spotless, finished with very stylish high end decor. My room was exactly how it was described to me. Dominic and Mario are absolutely lovely hosts and very informative and accommodating. The breakfasts... More

To be welcomed as warmly as we were when we arrived at Aubergell is not a common experience nowadays. Dominic and Mario are the friendliest and most hospitable hosts we've had the pleasure of meeting in our travels. We were welcomed like friends, bags carried, and settled into our lovely room (Room 5) in a matter of minutes. It is... More

I think there are hotels which do well because they know how to run well, and then there are hotels who do well because they know their customer well. I have never felt more like family than here. The only think that reminded me i wasnt with family was the breakfast, because at my house it would be a frozen... More

I couldn't have asked for a better experience than what I had at Aubergell. The place is in a prime location, immaculately kept, and is as charming as can be. Dominic and Mario were ideal hosts and made sure that I had everything I needed. The breakfasts were delicious and very professionally done, made right as you sit down. Fantastic... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
