I am a fan of the Novotel chain. This branch was in a somewhat good location (walking distance to the main shopping street Rue St. Catherine, 10 minute subway ride from Old Town). Parking ran us about 20 CAD which is standard in Canadian cities. Our room had modern decor though it was somewhat worn (carpet, sofa). It was quiet... More

This wasn't my first time at novotel de la montagne, But it was the first time that i am not happy. I reserved online(as usual) an executive room( executive rooms are newley refurrnished 2010/11) At the check in, front desk people very nice and helpful, gave me the room key. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are new and good furnished. It is located in a good place near Rue Ste. Catherine not far from historical and bussines area. I recommend. The bad things as usual at Accor Hotels is that the room wi-fi access is paid. More

Just returned from a short trip to Montreal where we stayed at the Novotel on De La Montagne street. On first walking in, one can notice the very nicely renovated lobby, which looks amazing. The staff was very nice and prompt. Our rooms were very clean and a nice size, the beds were very comfortable and all was in working... More

This Novotel (Montreal Center) is a little more than 1/2 block away from Ste. Catherine St. and one block from The Bell Centre. It is one block over from Cresent St. which has many restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Ste. Catherine has retail stores, restaurants and shops up and down the street for what seems to be miles (probably only one... More

Myself and my fiancé have stayed at the Novotel several times during our numerous visits to Montreal. I went to a Novotel in Paris years ago at it was really nice. So when I decided to go to Novotel in Montreal, I was expecting the same standards. Unfortunately, it was the whole opposite. The worst part has to be the customer service. The receptionists never said "hello" when we entered (we always had to say hi first)... More

Chose this hotel to be close to Bell Centre - it ticked that box that's all. Also close to shopping district and restaurants but would have been better off at Holiday Inn or similar. Whoever thought of frosted glass doors for bathroom? Also they don't expect their guest to stay long as there was little space for clothes. It irks... More

Okay so it's probably a bit unfair to review them on this, but when I arrived in Montreal the hotel was in the midst of upgrades.
